The DELL XPS 8700 is a fast and stable computer that has a good video card installed. The XPS came with Windows 10 already installed. The computer was very easy to setup. I also purchased the DELL S2415H monitor from Best Buy to use with the XPS and the video and graphics are super using the installed video card. I can find nothing that I do not like about the computer but did have a Win 10 major problem. Out of the box Win 10 did not the apps did not work and a few other issues. Called DELL and after many hours on the phone, like 5 hours, I was told that the operating system needed to be removed and re installed and it could be done by remote. Great except DELL said the computer which was only 3 days old had a warranty on the hardware but no warranty on the software. They wanted me to buy a service package to get it fixes. I do not feel that I should have to pay for something that was installed by DELL that did not work. I had to pay $89 to get it fixed and still had no warranty on the operating system. It took almost 3 weeks to get the full recovery system discs that DELL will give you one set for free but you must request them which I recommend doing. The service techs were good and I had no problem getting the XPS running like it should but it did take several hours on the phone. Also do your homework and make sure that the software you are using will work with WIN 10. For virus protection I used Norton security with backup and it installed with no problems This is a very good computer and I love it. The only con was having to pay for the problem I had on a new computer. DMD43.

Just picked it up about 2 weeks ago. Fastest most powerful computer I've ever owned. I-7 quad processor, 12 gig ram, 4 gig video card, Windows 10 preinstalled. Easy set-up, was up and running in 20 mins.

Excellent choice...has frozen up twice for reasons yet to be determined. Otherwise I am very happy with this system because it meets my needs. It is fast, has more storage than I will ever use, is aesthetically pleasing, and operates quietly.

This computer is extremely fast and was very easy to setup which took less than an hour. It has a very fast Intel i7 processor and 12gb of memory. The hard drive is also huge at 1tb. This is a big upgrade from my current computer and I am more than impressed with it. I am also loving the new windows 10 which comes standard on the machine!

Fast, set up was easy except for Wi-Fi. It continually crashed to the point it would not even recognize any network availability. It had to be re-booted and then would only work for a short time. Geek squad tried by re-installing drivers with moderate success. It still occasionally crashes Wi-Fi. When it's working, it's great. I checked Yes would recommend but it's really a big maybe.

My review is for the base system. For which it is not now. After I upgraded the power supply, the max ram, and 970 nVidia graphics. If you plan to do this a good platform to start with. It should be noted that the main board x86 that comes standard is ok but the user can update to the z97 and the 3790k processor for more speed and better power boost, also over clocking if that is your thing.

Great upgrade from the ancient laptop that I was attempting to use for graphics and photo editing. Added a Sandisk 240 SSD for OS and basic applications. The 1TB internal is a welcomed start to my storage. Cloud and external RAID used in conjunction. Used for Lightroom and Photoshop CC. Sure, things could, and probably will be, upgraded but this is a screamer compared to recent limitations. Open box less 20% holiday discount. Coupled with BestBuy credit card @12 mos interest free plus pay-off within 30 days bought me an additional 15% of discount and or/coupons. Heck, yeah!

At the end of its product cycle, this machine was on sale for $774, which hit the sweet spot of price/performance. If it can be found, it is still a good deal today. The 4th generation i7 is nearly just as fast as the 6th generation. 12GB of memory is just about right. The display card is ok, but not bad. I like the quiet fan on this one.

Overall this is a good computer. We have had one problem. It will occasionally reboot itself in mid-use. That has happened about 3-4 times since purchase about two months ago. The speed of this computer is great. It boots up fast, moves between programs fast and overall we are pleased as long as the rebooting doesn't get worse.

I shopped around and this was the only system that had everything I wanted in my computer. Coming from Win 7 it is still a learning curve with Windows 10, but I am very happy with the result I have achieved already. After the initial set up the system was simple to work on to add the additional components from my old system to bring me back on line very quickly. This is my first Dell system and I am very happy with the results.

I've only owned Dell computers for years and have always been quite satisfied with them. This one is no exception. Performs just about like I expected while at the same time being a Windows 10 machine. I never made the transition to Windows 8 (thank goodness)...but I knew eventually I would have to move to Windows 10. This machine had it and it only took me a day or so to find all the tweaks and fine-tuning tricks to make it look and act like Windows 7. Mission accomplished.

I use this computer for Flight simulation and it runs everything fast and smooth. My only complaint is that i wish it came with a (SSD) solid state drive. With a SSD this machine would be blazing fast. Oh and use the "Best Buy price match" (over the phone with online sales) to get a lower price. i had $100 removed from the price and was able to pick it up in the store 30min later.

This PC is lightning fast and has plenty of storage. Great machine at a great price. Has everything you need and comes loaded with windows 10.

This was a great deal. Got that PC as an "open item" with a great Price. The System is working like you can expect this from DELL.

The computer is great windows 10 set up was easy I have used window XP and windows 7 but the speed and ease of this is great

For the price I would have difficulty building the same PC for less. The video isn't high end but decent. The video card memory is dedicated not shared. The power supply is 600 watts, which I actually found surprising for off the shelf PC. The memory configuration is a little funky at 12GB which takes up all 4 memory slots.

This desktop has everything you want if you're a video editor, graphic designer, or even a gamer

I bought this as a gift for my mother and she loves it! She has had a Dell before and was very happy with it for many years. It far outlived its projected lifespan! When we finally convinced her to upgrade, she wanted another Dell. She has had this for a couple of months now and is very happy with it. She is even getting used to Windows 10 when she thought she would go to the grave with XP! A very positive change!

My son uses this PC for gameing and loves it. It can handle everything he throws at it. Most recently is Fallout 4. It has a good wireless connection but for a few extra $, could be upgraded to an ac wireless card for maximum benefits of an ac router.

Super fast PC. Great buy from Best Buy. Doesn't make any noise at all.
