I purchase this tablet for my husband who hasn't used a tablet before. Other than being slow booting up and the battery length on standby not all that great, he is enjoying this tablet. The size is perfect for him.

The DigiLand - 10.1 Tablet 16GB Black is an excellent device to own. Will do the same as the big brands.

This review is for the Digiland DL1018A Android tablet. This is a remarkable tablet. Light, thin, rugged, and low price. If you are looking for a really good, affordable tablet, this could be the tablet for you. The processor is the newer Mediatek MTK8163 64-bit processor. Operating system Android Lollipop 5.1. Includes GPS. Both Wi-Fi bands 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz are covered. Battery lasts a long time, even with watching Netflix and TV. The tablet has 15 gb internal storage which is a little lower than I like, but adequate for most everything. You can add a MicroSD card for an additional 32 gb. However, the Android 5 operating system will not automatically use the card. So you may have to manually move movies and pictures to the card to free up internal space. This is a problem with Android, not with the tablet. My other Android 5 tablets exhibit the same problem. About the screen. Native resolution is 1200 x 800, 10.1 inches. That works out to a 149 ppi. This is normal resolution for a standard tablet or laptop. Digiland, however, installs a display program (MiraVision) that makes the screen appear more like a HD TV monitor. Compared to my other 1200 x 800 Android tablet, the Digiland seems sharper. I use an HDHomeRun TV tuner on the network for watching tv. The Digiland is clear and streams the video almost flawlessly. Noticeably better than my other Android tablets. I attribute the better video on the Digiland to the higher processing power of the 64-bit processor and the advanced display program. But I cannot confirm that this is really the reason. The 2 mp camera is a little lower resolution than I like, but it compares very favorably to my other tablet with a 5 mp camera. So not to worry about that unless you plan on using this tablet to be a photographer. So far the tablet has run every program I have loaded, including Netflix, Office, plug in Digital Radio Tuners, drawing programs, and games. Note there is no built in FM radio. So if you want to listen to radio, you have to stream it over the network. I use this tablet daily to take notes at work, email, internet browsing, Netflix, Rhapsody, TV, games… Works fine. I type on the screen using the on screen keyboard. Takes a little practice but works OK. Battery lasts a long time. I have no complaints. And the price is right. It’s an adult powered tablet that would be OK for kids as well. BTW, for those of you wondering, I do NOT work for Digiland nor for Bestbuy. I am just a guy who hates to spend money and loves new toys. Pros Fast processor, excellent screen, rugged, light, and affordable. Cons Only 15 gb internal memory. Not the best sounding speakers (same as all tablets in this class). No built in off air radio tuner.

Bought based on price and needs after reading specifications and reviews. Did not expect iPad performance at that price and was not disappointed. Had it for a month and no regrets at this point. Would recommend to a friend who has similar expectations and needs.

The digiland tablet is a great value for anyone who is looking for a great tablet for games,apps and surfing the web. It's screen is great and it's runs very smooth. I will say though that every once in a while it takes extra long to start up.

This model seems to be built better and have a thicker screen that is less likely to brake. It is worth the $15 more than the 10.0 tablet

I am very satisfied with the Tablet. It fits comfortably in the hand and is easy to use. The screen is OK and the battery power is currently also ok.

This tablet was an excellent alternative to any of the "children's tablets" out there. I would wait for this tablet to go on sale, which seems to be every other week.

The first time I bought this item it would not fully load. I had to take back to store for exchange. The second one I received did load, however after a day of usage it would not respond. It was slow to bring up pages and would shut down. After shutdown I would have to manually restart it completely.

we upgraded our youngest child's tablet due to it being damaged by accident. Most of the features are the same and child was able to handle changes with a little help and exploring.

Good size tablet for watching videos. Does everything that I want it to do. Couldn't be happier.
