This product really works! Charge your GoPro battery, charge the Digipower device, install and mount your GoPro setup and you're ready for much longer continuous recording times. I purchased 6 of them for a video shoot and recording in 4K at 24fps I was able to get almost 6 hours of recording time using a 128GB media card. Works with regular GoPro accessory mounts or standard 1/4-20 thread mounts. Great product.

Nice hold charge , I used near 5 hours at 4K video on my Gopro 7 black, and hasn’t any problem with sealing waterproof on deep 6 feet on a pool!! Perfect solid hard plastic !!! I loved it!!!

Over all its satisfacory but it has a weak points at the (clip ) the plastic notches that hold the metal pin break off easily ant takes too long to recharge

This device uses hard plastic for a locking mechanism for the top latch. Difficult to open and easily broken. I bought one at Best Buy it broke within a month. Digipower has yet to respond to my warranty request. Do not buy.

Was very nice, but it broke and now fails to turn off limiting its use ability. Needs to be replaced

I purchased this from BestBuy over a power bank as I preferred the form of it and it would attach to GoPro accessories whereas with a power bank it would have to be tethered all the time. I was getting ready to go on vacation to Akumal Mexico and thought this would be perfect for my new Hero 7 Black and it was… while it lasted. I took the camera in and out of it probably about 12 times to put in a GoPro Super Suit (I know this is rated as waterproof to the 30 some odd feet but didn’t feel like risking it) for when I went snorkeling/swimming. I went to take the GoPro out of the Digipower and the upper arm broke off at the corner for the top to side portion (see image with the red circle to indicate the area). I was pretty bummed and threw it away. I should have kept it and tried to send it to the manufacturer to see if it would be replaced under warranty but it didn’t occur to me as I had already had it for a couple of months and I didn’t realize it had a 1 year warranty. I may purchase another one as this may have been a one off incident, it did perform well and the battery lasted forever. I did not have any skins or anything like that on the GoPro and the fit was snug, I didn’t have to force it on to close the locking clamp. My only caution would be to make sure to not use too much force to lock the clamp.

It's a nice add on to your GoPro. The standard battery on the GoPro dies too quickly so this latches on firmly and charges right through like a phone battery case would. It's a lot heavier than it looks, much bigger once you have it in hand as well. The charge port is under a side cover where you spin the cover 90 degrees to get it unlocked for charging. It's held in by 2 small plastic latches that breaks on first contact deeming the unit no longer water resistant. It also uses micro USB to charge, most things now has USB C and the GoPro itself uses USB C. I tried 2 and both had the same locking latch breaking on the charge covers.

I got this for my hero 7 black. And it does it’s job perfectly, giving you 3 to 4 times the battery life. The only obvious disadvantage is it doubles the size and weight of your GoPro. Bottom line, for just over the price of a second GoPro battery, this is the way to go.

Out of the box it is straight forward and easy to mount the GoPro Hero 5 Pro, in my case, into the pack. My first run with the Digipower pack went better than expected. It was great for time lapse and a day long shoot. For action shots on a bike or something jarring, it would need a good strong mount. It is heavy and needs good support. I also purchased a new suction cup mount at the same time. I mounted the Digipower and suction mount on the inside on the truck windshield. After several bumps on pavement, it would release. That is not the fault of the battery pack. I'm just stating it for reference for an example of usage and application. I have not, as of yet, tested the waterproof abilities. But I am going snorkeling soon. I'll let you know.

I was literally going through battery after battery. The regular batteries that fit in the go-pro only last about a hour to a hour and a half depending on if you are shooting in 4k or 1080. This is just amazing in comparison. It says that it lasts for 9 hours but depending on how you are shooting it is more like 7. It does make the camera a bit more bulky however it is encased for more protection as well. With it lasting so much longer there is no more worries of the battery dying in the middle of a shoot or the constant frustration of having to stop everything to swap out the battery. If you own a go-pro this should be an automatic buy.

This battery pack is great for extended battery life for longer recording sessions. It is a little bulky, that’s about the only downside, but totally worth it to get more video/pics. I have not tested out the waterproof functionality so I can’t say for sure how well it works. Overall I’ve spent about 3-3.5 consecutive hours recording with this thing; whereas with a regular battery I get around 1.5-2 hours recording time on the highest quality. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking to do longer shoots.

This is a great option to keep on hand if you will be recording for extended periods. My only complaint is that the Hero will overheat if the power pack is on for long periods while recording.

I purchased this after I had my gopro die during a concert. I had the gopro mounted to the drum set and it recorded for just over an hour before it died. Now granted I had other cameras that got great shots, I realized that I needed something more reliable. I found this following that show and it has made its money back and then some. It does weigh noticeably more but if you need to record for a long time it does the job. Plus you can run off of AC power no issues. Only downside is that it is not usbc.

This actually worked great for keeping my GoPro charged almost all day however in my opinion makes it 3X the size and harder to carry all day long in the end it did not work out for me and I did return it within the 14 days.

This external battery works great with me gopro 5 black. I use it to film volleyball and it significantly increases my record time

Honestly I bought this Digipower refuel because I didn’t see other options but holy smoke am glad I did I can actually attach this to my Jetski steering bar and as bulky as it looks it does not move ! Am honestly enjoying recording long hours of driving my Jetski thanks to this device.

This battery pack is a must-have when you travel. You don’t have time to keep switching batteries. This keeps it charged for a while. This was the best purchase for my GoPro. The only issue is you can’t dive with this, I don’t think.

This is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for your GoPro hero 5-7. Battery last long just need a large memory card at least 128gb. Makes your camera look a little bigger however all your waterproof features stay the same.

This battery pack is great. Keep in mind it's a little heavy especially if using a selfie stick but it really comes in handy especially if you don't want to be changing batteries and you can turn it on/off when needed.
