This thing is a dream to fly. Charged the flight battery, charged the Remote Controller, updated firmware, and away I went on my first flight. Simple to control, beautiful 12MP images and amazing 4k videos. The DJI Go app has worked flawless on my ipad mini 4. The camera even does well with longer exposures for night time stills over the city. With the flight logging capability, I see that I have flown a total of 99 thousand feet (nearly 19 miles) so far. Maximum range I've reached so far is right at a mile away with 100% RC control and HD Video signal. Super stable in the wind too even in gusts to 35mph, though the landings that day were a little "exciting". This is not a toy, the props can do serious damage to human flesh, your dog, the neighbor's cat, or your Ferrari. Fly responsibly!

I originally purchased this product on 10/31/15, and immediately fell in love with it. Having never flown a quadcopter before, I admit I was a bit intimidated by it at first. After reading the paperwork that came with it, I took it outside for its first flight. With my heart racing, I used the auto-takeoff feature and lightly moved the controls. With that, all fears or worries were eased. This thing practically flies itself! It does take a little while to master all the features this drone has, but that's a good thing. It allows you to learn and perfect one thing at a time, and you'll start to feel like a pro as you start to put it all together. It's truly fun for the whole family. The DJI forum app is also a big help. Still trying to figure out how to send entire videos rather than smaller clips from within a video, but that's not nearly enough of a gripe to get me to rate this thing less than 5 stars. It's truly awesome! If there was anything I was less than thrilled about, it would be the lack of available affordable cases that can accommodate the aircraft WITH prop guards attached. So far, I've found one at goprofessionalcases.com. Pretty spendy though.

I have to say I love this quadcopter. I work at a car lot. One of the guys at my work had the same one and he works in the other building. I'm standing out front and down comes this drone with no pilot anywhere in sight! I was so impressed that I shopped and pondered spending the money. I am 36 yrs old and still a kid at heart! After many days of watching videos and dreaming of owning one I decided to make the purchase! Figured I don't ever buy myself anything and I was just gonna do it! I have to say! I love this toy. The camera quality is truly a professional grade. It is fast. It is fun. I really like the feature that allows you to stream live to facebook. All my Facebook friends think it is awesome too. I literally find something new on this thing every time I fly it. It has multiple automated flight modes. GPS tracking. Return to home function. You really have to be sucky at flying this thing to crash it, or flying it in a place that you never should have been. I flew this thing out a couple of miles and lost signal. I have to admit I was very nervous and thought that I would never see this toy again. As I was kicking myself in the butt and walking back in the house thinking that I just lost the most expensive toy I had ever purchased and BOOM! my video feed came back. The drone was flying itself home. What a great feature. If you are even remotely interested in a drone this one is great. The next one I will buy is the DJI Mavic Pro. It's a compact version of this one and I like the idea of being able to fit it in my pocket, but I will be waiting for the price to come down a bit. All in all. Super happy. Love it and definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to buy a drone. I will include a photo of a neighbors field that I stumbled across. I would have never seen this without my new drone!

The Phantom 3 is so easy to fly, especially with the new software updates. I complete novice can get professional-level shots out of the box. As a filmmaker, I picked the Phantom 3 over some alternatives for a combination of ease of use and the quality of the 4K video and raw stills.

This is a great drone for Professionals or new comers alike! The drone is easy to get the hang of if you can get passed the firmware upgrade which is a cumbersome process to say the least. Super easy to fly and it takes great pictures and video!!

I first purchased the Phantom 3 Standard and exchanged it for the 3 Professional and I couldn't be more happier. This thing performs like a champ. It is very stable and in flight even when it is windy due to it running off of both GPS and Glonass satellites. A few days ago while flying the app on my tablet crashed and while trying to reboot the tablet I lost sight of the drone due to it being a bit overcast. The app failed to reload so I pressed the RTH button hoping it would not fly away. After about 30 seconds, I hear the buzz of it overhead and it eventually landed exactly from where it took off. Amazing....

This is my first Drone and I must say that after the initial trials of getting the firmware updated on the Drone, Drone Camera, Batteries and Controller that this drone was very easy to learn to fly. I have only had it out 3 times now but I have thoroughly enjoyed flying this drone and I am amazed at how steady the video is when flying it. I would recommend this drone to anyone who is in the market for one. I chose this one for the 4K video camera and I have not been disappointed!

I read a lot about DJI and their drones before buying one. I read about all the great things this drone can do and wondered if it were all true. It was after the first few flights that I discovered it was all true. What they say the drone and the controller can do, it does. It is a real enjoyable flying that anyone can enjoy. Beautiful videos and pictures are possible with their camera systems.

Buying the phantom3 pro from "best buy" has been a good experience for me. When you combine DJI and Best Buy you really get a deadly combination. My 5 star rating goes to both of them. The Phantom 3 professional is a heck of a flying camera with huge potential. I have been having this bird for almost 2 months and I'm very happy with it. Best Buy made this experience even better by matching a competitor price and giving me The Phantom 3 Plus the bonus hardshell backpack for $1.150 OTD. I could not ask for anything more. Thank You Best Buy end DJI.

This is definitely one of the better aerial photography Riga that you can get that doesn't require a lot of photo shoot prep on site to get it up in the air. The nearest competitor to this would be the inspire 1 which is 3-5x more expensive and requires 2 people to operate whereas this is one man operation.

I first bought the Phantom 3 Standard thinking it would be a great first purchase... while it performed ok I definitely wanted more. This model not only comes with a better camera but it has the Lightband technology. Like I said I wanted more and the Pro gave it to me... I got WAY better range with the Pro and while it should go without saying, the video feed was way more stable. I personally priced matched this to B & H Photo at 599.99.... so that was pretty awesome. I recommend and extra battery. P.S.- the attached photo are actually mine... I live down the road from the store.

the day I got the phantom 3 pro. I fell inlove with it. it was not hard to fly. and everything I did not know about it. dji was there to show me on utube. has real 4k video. and baby,its fast in the sky. everytime I'm out flying it. people ask me how much and were can they get one. I tell them best buy and 14 days to bring it back if there not happy with it. so I aways love bringing it out.

This drone shoots quality 4K video and flying it is a breeze. There are many different modes to help you get the shot that your looking for. It can fly over 2 miles no problem with out losing connection or video feed. No matter if your a hobbiest or professional this drone is for you!

Well, I shopped around for a while checking out deferent drone manufacturers. Dji phantom 3 professional is hands down the best one on the playing field for beginners to the advanced. Very user friendly and easy to fly.

I found that the DJI phantom 3 pro is a great drone for the intermediate user and upper-level flyer.

As an Independent filmmaker this is a must, for wide angle master shots or establishing shots, ETC this is a must have, however it comes with a great deal of responsibilities, such as registering it rules laid out by the FAA, and some common sense like not flying it over a crowed of people or restricted airspace, ETC. overall awesome.

The DJI Phantom 3 Pro has great specs, features and functionality. This is by far the best drone in the industry for its price range. If you're starting out with drones I would suggest starting out with something a little cheaper, like the DJI Phantom 3 Standard. As there is a saying in the UAV / Drone world its not if you're going to crash, its a matter of when you will crash. What's good about this drone: 1.# Price - Its hard to find a drone that can fly 1 mile +, with an UHD 4K camera, advanced features like POI and Follow me, and decent battery life right out of the box. 2.# Good Battery Life. - You can get about 20 minutes of flight time per battery. If you're new to UAV's that significantly better than previous models. 3.# UHD 4K Camera, for most people I would recommend that you shoot in 1080. It will take less processing power than 4K and not kill your computer. But if you need something in UHD this camera is great.. it doesn't have great levels of gradation on its grey scale but does a great job at get crisp, clear UHD video. 4.# The DJI Go app is the best in the industry. It runs on either iOS or Android and streams HD from your drone to you device. If you need a device for this, I recommend the iPad Mini 3. The Bad: 1.) The support from DJI is great, once you get it. The problem is that they seem significantly understaffed or need help in how they process support request. If I could change one thing about DJI it would be the speed in which they respond to issues and process orders. 2.) Tilted Horizon - Even when calibrating on a flat surface the gimbal seems to be tilted.. this is reported in several forums. Its easy to adjust in the app but still a pain. 3.) Occasionally DJI puts out faulty firmware updates that can cause issues. Join a forum on Facebook and usually someone will give a thumbs up once they've tried it out. 4.) The waypoints system is flawed, you have to fly the path first to set waypoints, there are many 3 party apps that allow you to select them on the map first then just fly them. Tech notes: Before you fly take the following steps: 1.) Read ALL of the instructions. I've seen way to many newbs loose their P3P due to not reading the instructions or following them. 2.) Update the firmware on both the remote and UAV. There probably have been a handful of release sense they packaged your drone for shipping. #instructions are on DJI's website) 3.) Calibrate the compass.. #its in the instructions) 4.) Calibrate the IMU #its in the instructions) 5.) Go the FAA website and read the "Know Before you fly" It could keep you from going to jail. #two guys just went to jail for flying over the thanksgiving day parade in NYC, if they read that site and followed it they would have known better) 6.) Always remember that why this is fun to pay with, it is dangerous, the props are spinning at a very fast speed, can take an eye out our chunks of skin. Keep it away from pets and children. Have fun!

Great drone wouldn't choose any other. I'm a beginner and had no issues getting it into the air.
