I bought this for my son after researching gaming video cards for a while. This one had the best features in the price range we were looking in. He tells me his games all run perfectly now and that his computer has never been so quiet. Installation was a breeze.

Still learning about the computer building and all but so far this thing is unstoppable I've paired it with a amd a10 6700 apu (cpu that has built in gpu) 4.3ghz oc and so far so good its very smooth games run no problem at all only issue i have right now and i think it's limiting everything on the system is the motherboard i purchased the asus m11bb b06 computer and am using that motherboard in my case unfortunately it is a locked motherboard only allowing my memory to get to 1333mhz when i have 24gb of 1600mhz corsair vengence and vengence pro ram so unfortionatly again i am unsure of if even the graphics card is running full tilt as it to may be limited due to the motherboard also that it has the ability to talk and work in dual graphics with the apu's graphics and i don't believe it is doing that on this motherboard either so i will be getting a asus crossblade ranger motherboard sometime next week and will update this reveiw after oc to 1866mhz on the ram and oc the graphics as well as boosting the apu to it's full potential as well look forward to that.
current build
Motherboard: asus mb11-b06 motherboard
CPU: amd 6700 quad core 65w with built in radeon 8670D
Ram: corsair vengeance pro 8gbx2 ddr3, corsair vengeance 4gbx2 ddr3

Corsair h100i CPU cooling radiator
Power supply: thermatake 600w power supply
Hdd:seagate 1 tb hd
Graphics card: xfx Radeon r9 270x 4gb ddr5
Case: corsair 540
keyboard: Razor blue led lycosa keyboard
Mouse:Razor blue led lit deathadder infered gaming mouse
only thing i plan to add is the crossblade ranger and then i will do a follow up update

I love these I own 2 of them in crossfire and they run at 1170mhz oc with 15% power boost and a 80% fan speed they are flawless 110fps in league while streaming and 60-40fps in bf4 while streaming not bad at all I haven't gotten a 290x to compair to buy I ended up giving them to my little brother and getting his 2 asus direct cu2 graphics cards 4gb also in crossfire and they run similar at a lower clock setting but cost more.

Review from a Nvidia fan

So i've always been an Nvidia fan. I saw this card on sale and have never really given an amd card a chance so i gave it a shot. Well..... i must say, i'm not super impressed. I went from a Nvidia geforce660 3gb to this and i must say, I think it was a downgrade. The amd software is annoying and seems to slightly bog down the computer. The card does work just fine, and is fairly cool and quiet. I can't say i've had too many issues with games not working and it handles hi spec graphic setting without much issues either.

The product work wonderfully, until it started to fail and then it failed quickly, at least it wasn't a slow death when it died died. Thankfully we had purchased it at Best Buy rather than going to one of the famous online stores, and is always best buyturned out to be the best way to buy. True to their advertising Best Buy stands behind their product and replaced it.

Had trouble making it work with my ASUS Maximus VI Gene, but everything went smoothly after I updated the BIOS. Now everything looks amazing and the dual screen 4k support is incredible!

The XFX R9 270x has been great, but ordering card through best-buy had promised AMD ruby rewards. I went back and forth with Best-Buy and AMD without ever getting software promised.

I play SWTOR which is a video hog of a game and my old card was not cutting it, so I upgraded. The card works well but for 4gb, I was hoping for better.

Fantastic video card for gaming. Stable, detailed, fast. I am currently limited by my monitor which is a LG LCD TV. A high resolution low 2ms response rate would really open up this card's true potential.
