I got into the Dragon Quest series with VIII, released on the PS2. It's a great series if you're looking for simplicity, which is a nice change of pace from some of the newer RPGs that keep being released these days. I like this game for it's sense of humor, its scale, and its story. I particularly like the way this game handles the theme of death.

This game was a good when it was on PS1 and now they have made it greater with color and graphics. Made it easier to play since it's in 3D and you can move the camera and see more of your surroundings. Since it is for 3DS, you can take it any where and play the classic game. It brought back memories of the time when I had to carry a remote with a cord.

The Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) series is a long running series consisting of multiple games. This game is a remake of one of those games. An excellent job has been done with this game, and it looks very colorful on the 3DS and controls well. I have heard this game is one of the longest games in the series, and I look forward to playing through it.

Excellent story and characters. Gameplay is great for handheld.

Dragon Quest VII is a great addition to the 3ds rpg library. If you have never played a Dragon Quest game before, this game (and DQ IX on DS) is a perfect point to jump in bc the difficulity is more forgiving than other entries in the series. I've put in 40 hours so far and still haven't beaten the game so I am very satisfied with its length.

A modern take on a formula the series has relied on ever since inception never seems to get old. Exploration, combat, townsfolk chatter - it's all there, and with a modern facelift too. Oh yeah - the battle screen animations are the best part - since you fight a LOT, that's great.

Great story and excellent rpg game. It will be a great additions to my ever growing dragon quest collections.

This game has you transfixed within the first 5 minutes of playing it. It's themes resonate with all of us, in that a young hero departs for an insurmountable journey, and against all odds, comes out on top. The gameplay is some of Square Enix's finest, and I look forward to future DQ remakes.

This kind of game isn't for everyone. It definitely shows its age with stuff like having to find a certain NPC to save, having no fast travel, no-frills turn-based combat, etc. But if you like that kind of old-school RPG, this is a great one, and will easily last you 50 hours or more.

Funny how Square Enix has release many different versions of the Final Fantasy series, but Dragon Quest has been neglected, especially in the West. It is the superior series. These DS/3DS versions of Dragon Quest are always excellent. I would like to see Dragon Quest 1-3 though.

This is a must have game for any 3DS owner who is a fan of RPG's. This game was originally released for the PS1 and this is the best way to play it. Everything that made the original amazing is in this game, plus this is the better looking version. I highly recommend this game.

It doesn't matter if you are new to the series or a veteran. This is a great launch of point to the series. The remake makes pretty much everything better with this game. Give the game a couple of hours since the intro is a little on the long side. It'll be worth the wait!

I think I had all the Dragon Quests up to this one, so it completes my collection! :-) Haven't had a chance to play very far in it yet, but enjoy it as much as the others.

Overall the game exceeds my satisfactions for a J-RPG console 3DS game. This is the remake of the dragon quest VII and has stunning graphics. Be ready to know that the beginning of the game is outrageously long before you get to actually go into combat! :)

I like how the Dragon Quest series doesn't change much but each and every game has a new aspect to it. The game takes a while to get into the right pace but all the process is really fun. If you're looking for an RPG Dragon Quest is a good opt

Games another good example of Dragon Quest. Didn’t get to play the original version but this one is great. Little on the longer side but definitely worth the money

This is easily one of my favorite Dragon Quest games. This was the first one to really draw me in. In all honesty, the prior games are good and all, but they drag quite a bit. This one can get you hours in without any sedentary feeling. Unfortunately, it does, like most JRPGs, reach a few slow points, but the concept and the first 30 or so hours are a great time worth finishing.

This is a remake of the PS1 game Dragon Warrior VII. There are few things added in to update the game which makes the pace flow a lot better. Graphics are way better as well. A must have for any fan of classic RPG from the NES and SNES days.
