Dragon Quest VII is a game that many passed up due to it's originally late launch on the PS One. Having a remake on the 3DS is a great thing for many people that want to experience the amazing game that was incredibly hard to find.

While the Dragon Quest games often struggle to leave Japan, when they do, it's always a pleasant surprise. The series is a classic example that iteration on a great formula is just as good as innovation. Some may consider the turn based mechanics to be stuck in the past, for those of us that enjoy and even prefer that, it's a welcome return to form.

If you are a fan of the Dragon Quest/Warrior series than you probably already have purchased this, but if you love classic turn based RPGs then I highly recommend Dragon Quest 7! Over 100 hundred hours of main quest.

If you like classic RPGs this will be up your alley. You need to grind for experience but it's worth it for the satisfaction of defeating a tough enemy and progressing through the story which is very very good

A classic JRPG. It has a slow start to it, but stick with it because it gets really good! There is a lot to the game so if you are newer to rpgs I would recommend buying a strategy guide or finding one online.

If you're looking for a great RPG, look no further, what can I say about a classic like this one, if you never played it, you owe it to yourself to do so, if you already have, now is your chance to relive it.

I have played all of the Dragon Quest games since the beginning when they were still Dragon Warrior! This game lives up to all of my expectations for a old school RPG with very nice graphics to boot!

Good story, characters, game play overall solid game.

Anyone who is a RPG fan of throwback games should buy this. I grew up on dragon quest and it took a lot of nintendo to bring this to the states. We have to support it for future games to come out

I was overjoyed to finally get an opportunity to play DQ7. I missed the boat on the PS1 version before it became impossible to find at a reasonable price. Thus, DQ8 wound up becoming my first foray into the Dragon Quest universe, and it may very well be my favorite game on Playstation 2. The characters are a bit weaker than those in DQ8 and the challenge is definitely a notch down from that game. However, the lack of random battles is a welcome addition to this port, as are some of the tweaks meant to re-balance the game a bit. The visuals show their age a bit, but the game still holds up through and through. Highly recommended for any fan of classic JRPGs from the Super Nintendo/Playstation 1 era!

I remember watching somebody play this on their ps2 when I was younger and now I was finally able to play it. Please buy it so we can have more dragon quest games released here you won't regret it!

Anyone who knows a little bit about the game knows that it was a MASSIVE undertaking to translate it and bring it stateside. Totally recommended if you like the DQ series and old-school RPGs.

If you're a fan of the Dragon Quest series or RPGs in general I'd recommend trying this game. It starts slow, you won't get into a battle for a while but once it gets going you'll be hooked.

If you love classic RPGs, you'll love this! The Dragon Quest series is a great one. And this game is long, you can easily put 100+ hours in to it, getting your money's worth for sure.

The game provides the same core gameplay of the original game while adding features that make the game more accessible to both those who played the original and those who have not.

From the graphics, to the dialogue, to the simplification of the beginning, everything has been improved from the original game to make for a much more enjoyable play experience.

It has that classic turn-based JRPG gameplay, if that's what you're looking for. But the storyline is somewhat simplistic and slow-paced, so you have to sink a lot of time into it before getting invested in anything that's going on

I love love love this one, but it was never quite as amazing as Sentinel of the Starry Skies. Still, its a dragon quest game, so you know exactly what you're getting into

I waited for many many years to be able to play this game!!! It's long but it's amazing and makes having my 3DS worth it! Every RPG fan needs to play this game

Haven't played a Dragon Quest in a long while - well worth the wait. A must-have for any fan of Dragon Quest. Twists, turns, and metal slimes are back!!!
