    Absolutely Wonderful for the Imagination

Media Molecule has given us tastes of using your own imagination before in the LittleBigPlanet series, but this is on a whole new level. After tutorials, some patience, and some time, you'll be creating art, music, games... or just experiencing and playing the hundreds of users' creations- whether photorealistic food, 3D modeled artwork of Deadpool in action, taking a stroll through Wonder Wharf from Bob's Burgers, or playing recreated games or their own interesting games, there's never a shortage of things to do in Dreams. Making it your own experience IS the fun. If you decide creation isn't for you, then just enjoy the THOUSANDS of games others have created. There's no right or wrong way to experience Dreams, while giving you more to do than your wildest dreams. In our current status of social distancing, for a... disc that unlocks SO much, at 2/3 the price of a single blockbuster, Dreams allows you to lose hours of time, realize it's time to rest, and still awake knowing there's much more to explore and/ or to learn. A must-own.

Dreams is really a hard game to review, because your enjoyment will largely depend on what you want to do with it. If you’re looking just to play games, you’ll likely be initially impressed with the variety of genres that are available. However, like all user generated content games, the quality of these games will vary greatly, so you’ll probably have to play through some garbage to get to the good stuff. The included story made by the developers is great, but only lasts 2-3 hours. As a creation tool though, Dreams offers you the most comprehensive suite of creation tools ever created in a regular video game. You can sculpt, paint art, make music, animations, and of course games. However, it will take a good deal of time to both learn how to make things, and then actually make them. So overall, I would recommend Dreams to you right now in early 2020 if you enjoy creating digital art, or you enjoy playing/testing other people’s creations. If that doesn’t sound interesting to you, I would wait a while to see where the community takes the game in the coming months and years. *PS PLUS is not currently required to share/play people’s creations online. However, online multiplayer is not a thing yet, so that may become a requirement if it gets added.

    A Dream Come True

This is an aptly-titled, awe-inspiring piece of software. As someone very interested in game design, but with very little programming knowledge, this title immediately piqued my interest, and it doesn't disappoint. The suite of tools available combined with the user-friendly interface really does let you just run wild with your imagination and build pretty much anything you want. And there are some great tutorials to get you acclimated to the basics. Most of my time so far though has been spent playing other people's creations, which of course vary greatly in quality, but the gems are up there with some of the best indie games I've played, and have inspired some new ideas of my own that I hope to work into my very first creation. The possibilities really are endless here. I can't wait to see what amazing new things people do with it, as well as where my own creative journey with it leads. Can't recommend it enough.

One of the most creativeand unconventional games I've ever played. You can play tons of user made levels that spark the imagination. The dedicated gamer can even grasp concepts of world building and game design but getting the most out of this requires a steep learning curve.

A must have even if you don’t have interest in designing your own game. Which is super user friendly you can search through hundred of original games designed by other players. A ton of fun ones i have found in a short time. This game is seriously the great game of the past decade. Ambitious accessible and ever rewarding. If you love games you should own this one!!!

We've been waiting for this game forever. Had the digital pre-release and bought this copy to have on a different system/account. Made by the people that brought us Little Big Planet, this game takes the creation of games to an entirely new level. That's both awesome and intimidating as hell. There's so much to unpack about how to do things with this game which is really more of a platform than a game. To be perfectly honest, we have more fun playing the crazy games other people make than creating ourselves just because the really cool stuff takes a lot of time and a lot of effort. Wonderful concept and given what it offers, I can't see how they could have done any better with the interface when they did but still, making an awesome looking complex, deep game with immersive sound, graphics and game play is an art and a skill. While Dreams makes it easier than ever before, you still have to put the work in to get something good out of it. Understand that going in and I'm sure you'll have a blast creating. If not, there is still plenty to do in "Dream Surfing" mode playing other peoples creations.

Great game, so much fun and so much to do. I really like the concept of this game and all the content. You won’t be disappointed and if you don’t want to create a game, you can just play one someone created. Buy it, there’s nothing else like it.

You can make anything. And you can play anything and everything that has been made. It's kind of ridiculous I think! The controls feel good. The tutorials are well done and plentiful. I've only scratched the surface thus far and it's been a blast.

The guys that made Little Big Planet made this game. This is basically a good teaching skill for how game design works. They give you a tool set that lets you create your own games and its surprisingly robust. You can also try out games other people have made in addition to the several games that come with this tool set that were made in engine to show you examples of what you can make. This is a great game on its own but its an even better tool for learning the basics of game design. In the style of the older classics like RPG maker, and Fighter Maker. Intro is a bit long and you have to play it before it lets you into the game proper like the LBP games. Tip, do use the tutorials to learn how to set up you games, they are very well done.

    Dreams - Addictive Creative Play

Dreams is a fantastic game from Media Molecule! My son (5 years old) and I have a blast exploring different dreams and making our own. Seriously, the level of creativity is out of this world and dreamers are really investing by creating their worlds in this game. It's very similar to game and graphic designers. This has become one of our games that we play together as a family to experience dreams together and to create new scenes. I didn't think I would like this game but it's addicting browsing other dreams that people have created. The detail that some dreamers have made like designing jurassic world and godzilla are really amazing pieces of art. I highly recommend this game!

Do you love creating things? Like literally anything? Sculpting, character design, environment design, full video games, interactive cinematic experience... A beautifully modeled HOT DOG ON A TABLE FOR NO REASON AT ALL? then this is your game. Aee you poor? Do you want access to a huge collection of games for the price of only $39.99? Then this is also for you! (and a vast majority are recreations of other video games, so you get both unique and clone games). Point is, there's so much you can do with this game. It's not so much a game as it is access to a huge toolbox and a huge game library. And that library was packed on launch days thanks to early access and betas. You'll never be bored.

Dreams is more of a platform than a 'game' in the traditional sense, though the built in campaign by Media Molecule is fantastic and plays much like a traditional platformer with some other styles of game mixed in. Outside of the built in campaign there is a never ending stream of content from the Dreams community. Even if a lot of content are not a 'games' in the traditional sense, the many creations from the Dreams player base allow you to experience huge variety of styles of play experiences. So even if you aren't a creative person you can just spend hours exploring the creations of others.

Dreams is a fantastic, innovative game where you can basically create whatever you want or play what everyone else is making. It's from the creators of LittleBigPlanet so you know it's a quality game. People are already making games in it based on real games and they look a lot like them. Things like Fallout 4, Dead Space, Sonic, Ghost of Tsushima, Crash Bandicoot and so on and that's not even mentioning all of the great original content they are making. Load times on non existent too. You just jump into one level and if you don't iike it you find something else to play and immediately start playing it .

This is a great game lots of fun you can also make your own game's in this but you will have to dedicate a lot of time and effort to make it worth your while and not have crap game's out there. They should think about adding this to the PS5 when it launches it could really enhance the experience on the new console just include it with the system and it would probably be even better on the next Gen console. But I think it's worth the purchase now anyways who knows if you buy a PS5 they may even give you the free update to the game for free when the new system comes out anyway we can only hope.

Dreams is where it’s at, I don’t even know where to begin. I would’ve never thought of a concept like this being possible, there are some really talented people out there and getting to play their creations is amazing! I mean from Spyro games, to crash bandicoot to the PT Demo!? It’s amazing to see these fan made games as well as the games these creative individuals are making with their own concepts. It’s really fun, I think this is a must have game if you are even on the fence about it just pick it up, it’ll be worth it.

This is a sandbox for creative types. You can make any number of wild and crazy game with this. It's mind-boggling the amount of content and game-making mechanics hidden under the hood. As I don't have the time to actually do all the tutorials for game-making, I instead just go online and try out the endless mass of games that other people have made. Many are simple, many are silly, but some are jaw-dropping! If you get this, please check out the game called slideout 3019. The music, sound effects, and graphics are CRAZY-GOOD! I thought this was a game for making cutesy little romps...But NO, this game hides a powerhouse of potential. Slideout looks like it should be it's own game, the next official release of Wipeout, but no, it's just one of MANY games available from random talented creators out there.
