Run around.

Not Bad, But Some Surprises
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very pleased with all of the upfront information I got from my my Best Buy store about the hardware. Zero complaints about my transaction. A few issues with the app: 1) It does not refresh when you reopen the app after use (it will still show your car running when it's been sitting, turned off, for days). 2) It frequently has trouble sending signals over WiFi. 3) You will have to pay $130 for 3 years just for basic service beyond the price of the app itself. My fault for not researching this first, but a heads up. Overall, I am glad that I purchased this app. Be aware of all the strings that come with it :)

Service and Support horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before late 2018, this service used to be good, app worked almost always, alerts every time and worth every penny, decent support. Then around October 2018 the, the app starts working maybe 1 out of 10 times and support says there are no issues but after a few months in January 2019 finally they admit there is a real issue and do some server maintenance provide some excuses and a couple days later the app is working great again. No app alerts work in the beta android, official android or IOS apps. At least not for me. The premium service is for tracking but in a week, there has been 87 stops at POI in a week, 84 missed app notifications, 12 missing alerts, 7 late alerts, 7 invalid POI's, 1 invalid curfew violation and this is just for tracking. This only reason for the premium plan is for tracking and POI alerts, which the app does not do either, but they have no problem taking my money and providing nothing. Kind of pointless There have been no other notifications about the other functions or when the alarm was set off in any of the cars. Nothing but excuses from support 4 cars = 0 notifications After the release in late February, the notifications did start working but only 10 percent of the time not well when they did work. Still not working correctly. Still have missing or late POI notifications/alerts, false curfew alerts. Again, the premium service is for tracking. This is literally its main function and it fails multiple times daily. The POI alerts only work if they are in real time. If my kid has left a POI, I need the app to tell me right then and not 15 minutes later or tomorrow or its just pointless and she might as well send a free text message. Funny how your ability to take payments and sign up for subscriptions is always 100 percent. Not so much for service and support. After saying there is no issues, you will say it was a server issue right and the drone team is working on it and it will be fixed in version 10.0 I love all Firstech brand products but unfortunately the Drone service is absolutely horrible. Awesome when it works but a day where it works without issue is rare anymore. There is a lot of older competition in this space, perhaps your engineering team can reach out to these companies to see what is see working for them. After reading the Google Play store reviews and support is repeatedly asking customers to uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, login, logout, login and out again, force stop, clear cache, reboot, stand on you head, count to 30 and cross your fingers is just a poor excuse. It does not fix the issues with the service because the issues appear even when you login on the website to access the control panel. These customers are not stupid, and they know that there are real issues with the service. Yes, the app is free, but it costs good money to install a compatible system with service… Some people have multiple cars. The app is very nice but fix the service. It should work 100 percent of the time as I have to pay 100 percent of the bill. Please don’t respond to this and ask me to submit a ticket as several people drone support team have logged several tickets and support has become nonexistent.

Too good to be true
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a gift for my parents. Their vehicle had a remote start but they couldn’t start it from their phone, which is something they really wanted since the distance using the fob was limited. I called Best Buy to get information on this product before purchasing. I gave them all of the information about the vehicle and they confirmed it was compatible. I was thrilled and purchased the item plus Geek Squad installation. My parents were excited about it. They go to the first appointment, which was purely to see if it would work. Indeed, it would work, but only after they bought $700 worth of other equipment. This was a massive disappointment after Best Buy neglected to mention any of this when I called. It absolutely was a too good to be true situation. I would not recommend this at all. I found no information about needing to buy additional equipment. If you are going to advertise that a product does a specific thing, it would be good to explicitly say that additional equipment is required and advertise everything together.

use to be good hasn't worked sine 6/2019
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we purchased this (October 2015) for our fleet of trucks, it was reliable and easy to use. However, since June of 2019, it has not. Prior to June, there were issues of the tracking not always working and errors popping up now and then. Around June, the errors were daily and then hourly and then we couldn't track at all. I notified DroneMobile,(Firstech, LLC Drone), and did receive an initial reply stating they had received my email and someone would be in touch. I followed up with numerous emails attempting to have the issues resolved. After not hearing back I did some research online and found that this was an issue for many customers of DroneMobile. Every time I contacted them, someone new replied and I would have to state issues all over again(very frustrating) and the fact that many others were experiencing the same exact issues, them all acting like they had no idea what I was referring to was above insulting. I send an email a few times a month to either be ignored or have to start from scratch. I have left messages through the app, email, and social media, ALL are ignored. I would highly NOT recommend this company unless you enjoy paying for a service that does not work!
