Upon opening on Christmas Eve, discovered TV screen was cracked (sunburst) all the way across the screen. Box and packaging were intact so not sure how it was damaged. However, I was pleased with the service received when I returned the item. It was replaced with a like kind/quality TV.

This TV sucks. Do Not Buy. The sound is horrible, the colors are bad (everything had a cold-blue hue). After 13 months the picture disappeared completely. I bought an equivalent Samsung TV for $80 more and it's so so so much better!

Dynex TVs have a 3% failure rate...

Ignore people who'd like to think that their bad luck is representative of the population mean ("someone I know...," "well, my TV..."). Dynex televisions have a 3% failure rate, per the most recent data I've seen. This is at or very near to the average of any other major brand, and better than some, in fact. If I were to misrepresent myself as the population mean, I'd tell you that I've purchased three Dynex TVs over the years, and have had problems with none of them, as expected, given a 1 in 33 chance of failure.
So, if your Dynex TV doesn't work, consider yourself extremely unlucky--and that's it. Don't try to convince others that your bad luck will be theirs without statistics with which to back that assertion.

This is my 3rd TV by Dynex. My first one has went out but I've had it around 5 years. There aren't any major problems that I've experienced.
