Small shredder for light duty. It jams when trying to shred one credit card. The description says it will do credit cards. Don't believe it. However, it meets my needs as far as shredding personal papers. I guess you can't expect much more from a $25(on sale) shredder.

WE needed a small inexpensive shredder for our winter apartment. This fit the bill.

It makes me feel at ease about shedding my mail that no one can out it back together and use my name!!!

it replaced a old one that did not cross cut.What I like the most is it can cut credit cards. the can holds more than my old one.

Clogged at pressure sensor multiple times. Multiple unclogging efforts damaged the (Piece O' (cough) . . . . [ahem] junk) pressure sensor. Had to turn it upside down and run in "reverse" mode to shred. Eventually, the pressure sensor clogs stopped "reverse" mode from working. Unclogging was taking too much time so I decided to put the little junker out of its misery - Office Space style. I took that little PO-j (wink) outside and swung it by the cord onto the sidewalk. The crashing sound and multiple flying pieces yielded an unexpectedly long sense of relief and satisfaction. I left it out by the curb for next week's trash pickup - where it belongs. Breaking it felt great! I kept the little can that came with it, so it should be around 1/10th of a star. BB has much better shredders. It was my fault I went cheap.

So far this is a nice shredder. The entrance where you slide in the paper is a bit annoying. You need to slide it in sideways and kind of precise. If you are in a hurry it is a bit annoying. Otherwise does what it is supposed to.

Product is poorly designed. The only 2 good things that I could find on this shredder are the protection against accidents with the shredder oppening and it's pretty quiet for a shredder. However, the shredder is not sharp enough. I owned another shredder for 2 years and I don't remember having so much "paper dust" flying during operation. Result is that the paper doesn't get cut correctly all the time and the worst thing is that it gets constantly jammed. I have to cleanup some jam the blades every 10 sheets. Engine isn't powerful enough, as well. Despite the specification states 5 sheets, I am not able to shred 3 credit card slips without having the shredder to get stuck. The bin that comes with it also makes the job harder. Since it's a plain bin, not a basket, it's hard to see when it's full. Counterpart, it's virtually to get a full bin without having to remove the shredder a couple of times to get it clean, so... Not a good buy, choose another.

I bought it because I needed an inexpensive shredder for personal documents. It generally worked ok but frequently clogged requiring pulling paper strips out of the shredder (power off, naturally). Five months after the warranty expired it just died. The problem is with the pressure switch. Next time I'll spend a little more and get better quality.

Product lacks in power and gets jammed all the time. Do not WASTE your time and money.

I had an old shredder and it was a dinosaur compared to this one.Its so quite and does a great job.I got my moneys worth.

This shredder is a piece of junk. I used it about 5 times and tried to shred a credit card and the card is jammed in it. Would not go in reverse either. It quit working and died. This is the 2nd shredder from this company that did not live up to it's name. I'm done with DYNEX!!!!

i have was looking for shredder for ;long time. and finally found it.

This shredder jammed the first day, and since it is a sealed unit, I cannot un-jam it myself. Taking it back for refund.

The instructions say it can accommodate shredding one credit card. I inserted only one credit card in the slot. Now it will only operate in reverse and grinds constantly. A piece of the credit card is jammed inside and I cannot reach it to remove it. If I move the dial to forward, it turns off. It is a piece of junk. Don't even think of wasting your money.

THIS IS THE WORES SHREDDER WE HAVE EVER PURCHASED. We shred alot of documents in our house and go through a least 2 shredders a year. Times are tough so we paid cheap money for this DYNEX and we got what we paid for. We used it for 10 minutes and it overheated twice and clogged up severals times. Just bought it today and boxing it up tonight and returning tomorrow. VERY DISAPPOINTED save your money!!!!!!!!!!

We should have read the reviews first! We Just purchased this shredder today and had to box it up and return it the same day! After using it per the instructions for only 10 minutes, not only did it get clogged several times, it then overheated and stopped working completely! What a total waste of time and money! Not even worth 1 star!

What a waste of money. Had it home for about 20 mins. It was shredding an empty envelope and it died. Completely dead. Wish I hadn't lugged it all the way from the store.
