For a quick set-up of a temporary 5.1 system in a public place, picking up two spools of this was just right for the rear surrounds. I would have used heavier gauge if pre-wiring a home theater, but for a quick & easy temporary setting, these were perfect.

Using this wire to connect the Insignia 200W 2 channel amp to the Insignia 6 ½" bass reflex speakers. The wire certainly does its job, which is simply to carry the signal from the receiver to the speakers. Speakers sound just fine, even at high volume. However, I do need to agree with other posters that the "++++" markings on the wire jacket for the positive connection is very, very hard to see. Not only are they a small font, they are a charcoal-gray color which is hard to see. I had to check several times before each connection to make sure I had the right polarity. A simple dashed red line would have been better. Crossing the polarity won't damage anything, but will reduce your sound quality significantly, especially the bass response, and most people will blame the speaker, receiver, or source material rather than a crossed speaker wire.

Bought this to run the wire to set up my home theater system. Mine is a decent, but not the top of the line type hodge podge of brands and equipment. For the price, it's a great deal and worked fine with my Pioneer/Sony/Polk/Yamaha sound system set up.

Most speaker systems these days don't even come with cables this good. If you have just a plain old DVD/bluray 5.1 speaker combo and need more cable length this is perfect, overkill in fact.

What can I say, Its just plain copper wire. Any variation in quality is not going to be based on what kind of cable you buy. As far as value goes, this was a pretty good deal.

I love my surround sound speakers and I use these wires for it, and I did it myself with no prior experience wiring speakers. I like them!

Well, it's speaker wire, and when I connected everything, the speakers worked. I'm not much of an audiophile, but this seemed to work quite well.

The quality of sound is superb I really like the way my suround sound system sounds with it.

This was the only product Best Buy had at the time and it works fine on my home theater.

Bought it because I needed longer wire than what was provided in the HTIB. Possibly a step higher in quality, easy to use.

just speaker wire, needs different color wires so you know whats positive and negative side of wire

I almost returned this to the store on the grounds that the polarity wasn't labeled. My son asked to look at it and found little plusses printed on one of the wires. Even after he pointed it out to me, I couldn't see it without a magnifying glass. Since I'm an old fashioned two channel guy I only had to look four times... but I would not recommend this for a home theater!

the speaker wire is good quality. no trouble with sound cutting in or out. fair price.

I used this to wire some speakers in my car to my amp. It worked good and got the job done.
