Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Fast, Simple, did I mention fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved to a new home and wanted Wi-Fi that could take advantage of my 1 Gbs Internet. I wanted a mesh system so the devices would always connect to the fastest access point. The Eero system does all of that and it's easy to setup and maintain. It's pricey, but if you want a fast connection anywhere in the house, this is it. Their tech support is very good. The only negative is that it assigns a SSID to both the 2.4 Ghz and 5. Ghz bands. If you are are trying to connect a smart home type of device and it's configured through your phone, you may have trouble if that device only supports 2.4 Ghz. It shouldn't matter, but I have come across two devices where that was a problem.

Powerful network gateway
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First gen eero with 3 modules wasn't quite able to cover whole house [basement + 2 floors]. Located this centrally and spaced out 3 old modules and everything works amazing. Can pick up my internet signal 2 houses down and easily covers external ring cameras.

Blows away Netgear Orbi - BEST WIFI SYSTEM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I've had the Netgear Orbi system for months prior to getting this system - I had constant coverage and NEST CAM/Thermostat issues with the Netgear. With this system, I sent a Twitter note to see if Nest worked, and the CEO responded!!! So, I've had this for a couple months now and it works so well that I don't even know I have it, which is the point - I get coverage far outside of my home. I live in a 5 level split 3,000S sq ft - No coverage issue - Fast throughout! Plus, eero actually supports their system, unlike Netgear with their barely updates - eero is constantly making their system better with monthly updates and features. Love it - Buy it!

Nice app but slow
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did an actual test scenario between the Eero pro 3 pack and the Netgate Orbi RBK50 2 pack mesh systems. First I upgraded to 1000 Mbps with Xfinity wifi and bought a new Netgate Nighthawk 32x8 3.1 modem. I tested the modem and I am getting between 900-1000 Mbps (Xifinity modem/router combo was only recording 650 Mbps). Test: I have a 3800 sq ft house in Texas new build that gets terrible cell reception. I bought the Eero Pro 3 pack system and followed the app to setup around the house (app is awesome). The Pro that was connected to the modem would only pump out 425 at max. Then throughout the house I was only getting maybe 75 to 110 Mbps during peak times. In the morning I did get better readings. Frustrated I did more research and saw the Netgate Orbing RBK50 2 pack for $110 less money was supposed to be super fast, so I bought it. Got home and tested the Eero in all rooms before I discounted. Then I connected the Netgate and tested the same rooms. The Netgate speed and coverage blows the Eero away. I am getting 525 Mbps at the home router and 300 plus throughout the house. I am going to return the Eero. With the BestBuy return policy, I would recommend buying 2 different setups and test the speed and coverage throughout your house. I carefully opened the box and handled the equipment extremely well. Sending the Eero back. My next step might be to buy the next gen Wifi 6 Netgate Orbi that is currently sold out. If it is within my return time of 45 days, then I might do the same test to see if there is more speed that would justify the $200 difference for Wifi 6.

Great full house WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had very poor coverage from our previous WiFi router. Zero service in the garage or yard and very marginal to non existing in kitchen. Put a new irrigation timer in garage and needed coverage and this great product filled the bill. We now have fast even coverage in the entire house and yard. Perfect product!

Works great in my house!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a fairly large house on 2 floors , 2400 bottom floor 1700 second floor. With modem in a bottom corner. I have tried a lot of devices to help get better signal to corners far from modem but nothing had worked great until this. Range extenders and other devices just seemed to lose a lot of speed in the process but so far this has worked excellently. I bought 3 full eeros and really like the way it basically is like getting a hard wired connection in mobile form. My Apple TV, AirPlay, smart tv all seem to be performing so much better. If your problem is a big house this is the best solution I have found

Best mesh router? How about best router ever?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router system after quickly becoming frustrated with my Apple AirPort Extreme router at my new house. Using my old setup at my old apartment wasn’t an issue, but once I moved into a rental house with more square footage and plaster walls I was screwed. Luckily I took a chance on the Eero mesh routers. These things are beast! I’m a long time Apple junkie and I can confidently say that the software/app/setup for these routers is darn near impossible to screw up. We have Cox high speed internet and now it finally feels HIGH SPEED. I think Apple got out of the router business at the right time, cause these things run circles around their hardware!

Superb WIFI range and speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short and sweet, we have a very long and angular home, and changing to Eero wins the day. We have amazing speed, zero drop in signal, and zero buffering. Only one minor issue, on the setup, the app didn't find the base router as easy as one would hope, but after a few tries, we were up and running and the install was incredibly simple too. Love the light night feature too, plus the crisp white look. You see it but you don't see it, and that makes it perfect for us.

Awesome product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best WiFi mesh system you can buy. It is pricey but worth every dime. Setup was super fast and easy l, coverage is amazing and it’s the lowest profile unit on the market. If you’re in the market for a mesh system I’d go eero.

exceptional whole home coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game and stream tons. Penny Arcade put eero on my radar 1-2 years ago but I was always concerned it wouldn't hold up to what "serious users" need at home. Fast forward to a new move, a broken router and I decided to give it a whirl. It handles my 200+ connection easily, across a PC, XBO, multiple phones and tablets, automated home appliances and alarm without breaking a sweat. Coverage over 2400 ft2 is complete and uninterrupted. The suite of tools available in the phone app is not as deep as if you are used to signing into your own router to tweak things...but the control you have is plenty and easy to use/control. I couldn't be happier.

Flawless Wifi
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve burned through a lot of networking products over the years, and the Eero system is hands down the best I’ve ever had. During the Covid pandemic, my networking needs have increased dramatically, because I work at home and have family members doing the same and doing virtual schoolwork. At certain points, I’ve had no fewer than fifteen internet-connected devices running at once, without any lag or dropoffs. Add to that true plug-and-play setup, and you have wifi that’s close to perfect. It ain’t cheap, but for me, it’s more than worth it.

EERO continues to be the top of consumer MESH
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a technology consultant and have installed quite a lot of wi-fi in Connecticut over the last 20 years. For a long time I was deploying mostly Apple and Buffalo and Netgear routers and WAPs. But then MESH came along and changed things -- it's enabled me to give my clients wi-fi in every room and every corner, which was always a challenge on a budget. For MESH systems, I prefer ORBI, VELOP and EERO. Orbi gets lots of praise but I've had a few issues with it -- including in my own home with the Ring video doorbell not liking it and also needing to reboot the Orbis at least once a week. (Additionally the system often has issues with firmware updates not installing automatically -- has to be done manually). I did exchange my home Orbi system by the way -- the problems persisted. So I put in EERO in my own home and the Ring unit was then happy, as were all the devices in the house. Yes the Orbi system was faster when it had a good satellite connection, but that connection was flaky. With the EERO in my home, I would say I reboot on average once a month. And that could be as much a comcast issue as an EERO one. The seamless and reliable operation of EERO is why it's my top choice for MESH. I have several EERO clients who have never *never* needed a reboot. That's impressive. Then why do I ever use Velop? Because EERO's simplicity also means that your hands are tied with some settings. Velop (Orbi, too) has flexibility (such as choosing any IP range, not just the ones that EERO lets you use). And if the client is in a rural area, EERO's activation via text message can be a problem. Velop has the flexibility that some jobs demand. It's also a great looking system (smaller and more attractive than Orbi, but both are inferior to the appearance of EERO). Bottom line is: Yes, EERO is expensive, but it's a premium product that gives you your money's worth.

Simple Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is super easy to install and while it does not push out all of the possible 1gb of possible bandwidth it pumps out enough. I have over 7k sq/ft and this is the first system that was able to push the wifi throughout the house. Well worth the price, but fyi for my house I have 6 access points.

Great wifi!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using three different wired Airport routers. I thought about buying a few months prior due to inconsistent performance. I wondered if it was the connection from the cable company. Eventually, I bought this new system and surprised that he speed I am getting is 3-5x faster. I literally put the routers in the same locations as my other ones. Setup very easy and used same network and password so did not have to re-program connection on my devices. I wish I would have switched a year ago. My wife no longer complains to me when she can't stream Netflix in bed. Happy wife = happy life.

Wow! It really works!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending a year with Linksys Velop which replaced my Apple Airport setup I was down close to $1000 to try and get whole home service. My phone would not transfer to the closest node, connection to streaming devices would drop and I was finding myself "scanning for channels" which takes about 5 minutes or completely rebooting my Velop wifi network. I was tired of hearing everyone in the house complain!!! I really was hesistant to spend any additional money on WIFI but I picked up the three node Pro system at Best Buy, set the SSID and password to the same and my Linksys systen and in less than 15 minutes all 45 of our devices connected without my touching them and there has been peace in the house for the last four days. Throughput is fast and 3 nodes are covering the entire house whereas I had 5 previously. It's everything I was hoping the Velop system would be and the app is a lot nicer to boot, and it looks better next to my TV's. I love the ethernet jacks, this is a winner. If you have wifi issues or are looking for a new system this one seems to be a winner all around after only a few days time whereas the Velop was a mess from day 1.

Great coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this mesh system in my home for about three weeks now and have had zero problems since it was set up. It covers my 2200 square foot home and the signal is strong everywhere I have tried it. In thee past I had a router and an extender and it still would not cover the entire house but this does that and more. I have not used all of the features yet but plan too make better use of them later. Set up did take much longer than advertised but I believe that was a problem with my provider not the system itself. Overall I would definitely recommend this system in a home that is of the same size.

Worth the extra cost compared to thers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought the Orbi system first, that was a pain to setup, could not get it to be configured and was told by Netgear customer support, mine was broken. Returned that one and bought this EERO system. I tell you configuring it with the phone app was just perfect. It adapted to my FIOS router with no problems. I added the 3 devices around the house and I have a great home mesh network. The ease of setup and great reliability have justified the extra cost. I happened to have bought it when on sale for $100 cheaper, so I feel even better about it. I can speak highly enough on my system.
