I am a long time Epson user when it comes to projectors. I was looking for a portable-ish projector for use with presentations that could run picture slideshows without having to hook up a pc for easier setup. Epson states this device is capable of this and while I can say it does work, just not for all photos. There are file types it states in the documentation that it works with and those it does not, unfortunately it is hit and miss even within those file types. All photos I was trying to use were taken with the same phone, same settings, etc and it would display some of those photos and not other. None of them were above the size and pixel limitations, etc.
Each photo was in the parameters given in the documentation, but it just simply wouldn't use them. My current Epson still works just fine, so I'll be sticking with it and returning the CO-W01.
As for the picture quality and brightness it is fantastic! The 16:10 aspect ratio though is weird and I didn't see that prior to purchasing in my research. I don't know why you would want that aspect ratio for a projector. On my laptop it makes sense.
It is quite loud when running and it gets hot very fast. I wish it had a lens slide to protect during tranist, so the "portable" moniker may not be so true. It is lightweight and has smallish footprint.
The auto-keystone is awesome and very useful when setting up. Get it close to square to the wall and the distance for the screen size and it will do the rest. I did have to reposition a couple times to get it right. Trying to use the auto-keystone after it has already setup was not so fun, so I would end up having to turn it off to reset the auto-keystone to then get it right on the wall.
I can recommend this, but again I question the portability based on it not having a lens cap/protector and auto-keystone issues.

This projector has all essential functionalities that you would expect and does its job fairly well. Eco mode usually is enough for my watching at night. The bluetooth-enabled AV receiver linked to the video player would make a big difference to movie watching experience.

I wanted to save a little space and decided to go with a projector instead of a TV. After searching for a little I found this and bought it. It works really well, was super easy to set up, and has good quality. The only thing was the sound on the project speaker wasn't the best but that was a simple fix with an audio extractor.

Excellent upgrade to my aging 740HD. Only issue is like all Epson projectors made in the past few years you cannot get the entire screen in perfect focus. Not a huge issue when watching movies or gaming though.

I’m using the projector for our ukulele group, I project the music on a screen for all to see and play to. Projector works much better than a cheaper projector I used before. I would have given five stars, but focusing is not perfect.

I bought this to use as a secondary screen for presentations - along with the FH02. This projector is just as bright, and the resolution is great for the 100" screen that I use. It can be used in a bright room due to its high lumen output. What a great projector for the price.

Needed something for a small space and didn't want to hang a TV on the wall. Epson worked very well and the spec'd resolution was not an issue. Combining this with a Sonos soundbar and I now have an enjoyable home theater experience.
