    Everything that I hoped for

I'm very happy with this product. I am a litigation attorney, and I purchased this product intending to use it to display videos in various situations. Rather than show video on a small screen like my laptop, this allows me to project a much larger showing on to the wall. The video shows bright and clear, even with the lights on. This product also allows me to download software and then play the video directly from a flash drive - skipping the step of connecting my laptop to the projector. This was well worth the upgrade.

    Compared to EF12

I recently switched from the Epson EF12 to this projector the EF21 model and here are some of my thoughts and a quick review and comparison of the two models. Honestly to get right down to it, I prefer the the EF12 mainly due to the 2nd HDMI port. I would also like to point out that I found the built in Android TV on the EF12 faster and more responsive than the Google TV on the EF21. That really doesn’t matter to me as I use an Apple TV anyway, which leads to my issue with the EF21 only having one HDMI port. With the EF21 I used HDMI arc to get the sound out to my Sonos speaker. With the EF21 used an external Bluetooth adapter to fill that void. I want to say the EF12 has a slightly clearer display, but they are about the same. Both are nice and clear to me. The newer EF21 is runs quieter than the older model. It’s the quietest projector I’ve ever used. I just which it either had an optical out port or a second HDMI for arc support. I ended up using a VIMSEAGA wireless Bluetooth receiver to help me out. I do admit my setup is a little cleaner without running the wires.

Solid first projector—great image, a few quirks

My first projector and it’s done the job well so far—bright, sharp picture and easy setup. I do wish the thick border/overscan around the image were simpler to remove; it might be doable but not really intuitive for user.. Screen-mirroring shows some tearing and a drop in resolution, which improves when I use HDMI from my laptop. There’s also a noticeable input lag (guessing this is expected for projectors). Overall, a 3.8/5 experience—good value with room for polish.

    9 month experience

Been using it for 9 months now. Audio is great for a normal sized bedroom. Don't need any additional speakers and usually play it anywhere between 50-70. Colors are vibrant if you are using a white screen, dark scenes are not the best, it is okaish, sometimes bad, I expected better for its price range. Auto-focus is not good, I have to do it manually everytime. Some apps like ESPN, Paramount + are glitchy. There are lags sometimes when watching a live game, not sure if it is just my wifi or the app. Games on hulu tv run fine but I get a lot of lag on ESPN. Otherwise it works fine for movies and tv shows. For the price, I would not recommend, if they knock off 200 bucks then maybe it is worth considering.

Worth every $$$. Prior I bought a cheap projector at Amazon and thought that will be enough. I was wrong. I looked into reliable brands and heard about Epson having reliable, good quality projectors. Bought this one and amazed. Easy to set up, just a few mins of wait on getting it up to date. What I love most is its ability to readjust quickly so no matter how it's placed it knows how to straighten up the viewing screen. Highly recommending this!

I’ve been using this projector for a couple of weeks and I’m very happy with it. The setup was extremely easy — it booted into Google TV and I was streaming within minutes. The picture is bright and sharp even in a room with some light, and the colors look really good for movies and sports. The speakers are surprisingly loud for the size, so I didn’t even need an external soundbar for casual watching. It’s also lightweight and easy to move around, so I’ve used it in different rooms. For the price, this gives a lot of value: great image quality, portable, and simple to use. If you want a compact projector for home or travel, this one is an excellent option. I definitely recommend it.

The projector's image is visible even on a plain wall with celing lights shining right on it. After turning out the lights though, I'll never want for a tv again. My only gripes are: one, before turning off the setting that detects when something is in front of the projector, it would "stutter" frequently without anything in the way - thankfully finding and disabling this setting was quick and easy; and two, if yoy intend to use it for an extended amount of time, you'll want the remote handy because it'll give a warning that it's gonna turn off if you don't push a button, but, of course, it is also not a bad thing to know that if you forget that you left it on, it will turn itself off instead of burning out.

I am happy with my purchase. I have it 12' away (on a shelf on my opposite wall) and it looks great at night. Not recommended if not in a dark room. I have never used a 4k product so I am Very happy with 1080 res. It's not very heavy and is easy to set up. Works with my Wifi, cable provider, and was able to set it up with my PC (HDMI directly to it).

Having had a projector for 15 or so years and dealing with lamp fading and replacements every 3000 hours or so (recommendation is replace at 2000 hours but I’m cheap and try and squeeze as much value out if my lamp as possible. This laser technology says it will last at least 20,000 hours. For only $500 too! Thr picture is great. It has a speaker built in but i use my receiver and 7.1 setup, which will he superior to thr speakers inside the projector. Very happy with my purchase as it may be the last projector I ever purchase!

Great home theater projector. High quality picture in a light controlled (read darkened)room and it is fairly good during daylight hours too. Sound quality is fair and I recommend adding a soundbar and woofer to enhance the at home theater experience.

A nice little projector that is great for a backyard movie experience. But do take note of the lumens, the projection will not show clearly in a bright setting. The built-in speaker is nice and loud, but a soundbar or any sound system would make the viewing experience better. Its OS is Google TV and synced my account with ease. At this price, it is the best starting projector for any consumer.

There are projectors which offer 4k for 800 dollars. Not being short throw is a problem that you cant walk into the line. But otherwise the picture quality and brightness is good and manageable. Serves the purpose and so its good.

This is my first projector and to say I love it is an understatement! Setup took a little longer than expected because QR prompts weren’t linking with my iPhone. So I had to manually enter. Once that part was done the rest was super easy and fast. Auto focus and alignment features are wonderful! Picture is clear and colors are crisp! Speaker is okay however if you really want a cinema experience I recommend adding speakers via Bluetooth capability which this projector has. The remote is easy to use! This projector is well worth the $ I paid which was 1/2 off the original cost due to the Black Friday deal.

This product is a well made machine. The sound quality isnt that great but is decent, try using a an alternative speaker or headphones. I use it my office to watch my anime shows and because of its mobiliy i use for drawing on desings on my sheets for turfting. The clarity is great on this device even with the lights on i wouldnt mind it being brighter though.
