It works great! It was easy to set up and use. I had a little bit of trouble getting the internet connected but other than that it was was easy.

Love this printer and the price! This printer has been so much more reliable and easier to use than my old one from a different brand. I’ve had it for over a year so far. It stays connected to my devices over WiFi unlike my old one and has required zero troubleshooting. I typically do basic printing for school, but also printed some wedding invites and envelopes recently that turned out great. I like that it has borderless printing for certain paper sizes.

The XP-4200 offers incredible value for the money. It is incredibly easy to use, and the setup is completely hassle-free. For such an affordable printer, the printing speed is surprisingly fast, and it comes packed with a great variety of functions like scanning, copying, and seamless wireless printing from a phone. It is a fantastic, reliable all-in-one machine for everyday tasks that doesn't break the bank. Highly recommended!

Good printer, I use it mainly to print stickers on glossy paper, matte paper, etc, so i started with this one as its pretty cheap compared to other options. And it works great
Color prints out very nicely. Ink goes kind of fast but thats to be expected with what im printing. And the ink cartridges are seprate colors so you only have to buy whatever ink youre running out of. It was also easy to set up and I only used the scanner once so far but it was good for what i needed it for!

Works well. It is different and has taken some time to understand the process but we are getting used to it. Print clear. The size is good to fit the location I have for it.

Originally when I was looking for a new printer, I was thinking of going with a Brother brand, or a Canon. The size was not to big, and the cost was very respectable. When I got it home the instructions where easy, and the setting up was not a headache. Do follow the instructions if you have multiple networks! It prints via WIFI from a decent distance, and it's great print quality, and it updates itself, and uses ink well.

Product Review: Epson Expression Home XP-4200 All-in-One Inkjet Printer
I recently purchased the Epson Expression Home XP-4200 All-in-One Inkjet Printer, and overall, I’m impressed with its performance for the price. Here’s my breakdown of its pros and cons after testing it out:
Pros:
✅ Affordable Price: At just $99.99, this printer offers great value for home and small office use. The option to pay in installments is also a plus.
✅ Compact & Sleek Design: The XP-4200 is compact and doesn’t take up too much desk space. It has a modern, minimalist look that fits well in a home office setup.
✅ Wireless Printing: Setup was fairly easy, and the printer connects smoothly with Wi-Fi, mobile printing, and even voice-activated printing. Printing from my phone was seamless.
✅ Good Print Quality: The prints are crisp and vibrant, especially for text documents and simple graphics. It’s not a professional-grade photo printer, but for general use, it does a great job.
✅ All-in-One Functionality: This printer prints, scans, and copies, making it versatile for everyday tasks. The scanner is decent for documents, and copying works without issues.
✅ Touchscreen Display: The small color touchscreen makes navigation easy. It’s not as large or high-end as some premium models, but it’s functional and user-friendly.
Cons:
❌ Ink Can Be Pricey: Like most inkjet printers, replacement ink can be expensive. If you print frequently, the costs may add up over time. Consider Epson’s EcoTank models if ink cost is a concern.
❌ Not the Fastest: Print speed is average at best, so if you need to print high volumes regularly, this might not be the best choice.
❌ Limited Paper Handling: The paper tray is relatively small, so you’ll need to refill it often if you print a lot. Also, it’s not ideal for heavy cardstock.
Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.3/5)
The Epson Expression Home XP-4200 is a solid budget-friendly printer for home users and students who need an affordable, all-in-one solution. It delivers good quality prints, easy wireless connectivity, and a compact design, but the ink costs and print speed might be drawbacks for heavy users. If you’re looking for a basic, reliable printer for everyday tasks, this is a great choice!

I've been without a printer at home for a decent amount of time, but going to the print shops when I do need to print can be inconvenient. For the average person (like myself) the Epson XP-4200 will get the job done.
Set up was a little agitating, but not too hard. While the printer has a decent sized display, the display isn't touch screen. That would have helped out a lot more when entering my Wifi password. Still, this is only a minor annoyance as you only have to do it at initial setup. Had I properly followed the instructions, I would have noticed the mention of the app. Once the wifi is setup, you upgrade the firmware, and slide the edges of the paper loader out, you're ready to go!
I had no problem connecting my devices to the printer after it was connected to the wifi. It easily popped up on set up. Printing quality is solid. I didn't get high quality paper, with regular paper (which most people will be using) it was great. I've attached two images of prints from the print, one of a color test I got from the internet which turned out great, another of a photograph of my son I printed direclty from my phone via the app, which, considering I was using regular paper, turned out pretty solid for all the details of the picture.
I copied another image of my birth certificate and the copy came out great as well. For the average day to day user, this printer is a great printer. I would have preferred touch screen LCD on the printer, but in all reality you're not going to be using the screen on the printer that often, most things can be done via the app, or the device you're printing from. Highly recommend this for the average consumer.
Perfect for kids in school! Great for basic needs!

Had to replace my old wireless printer. This was the best decision I made for a replacement. Easy setup, only takes a matter of minutes to have it up and running. Print quality is top notch.

This is an experiment for me. TheXP-4200 All-in One Inkjet may be what I am looking for. I have been using one that a friend of mine owns. It is simple; directions are "direct! She has had this printer for 5 months - whereas I keep running to the Library to print. But now I run to her home. More convenient; the printer is responsive; no problems.
Anyway, the Epson XP-4200 seems to be a good solution this time. My friend has had solid performance and lots of reliability. So, I am enjoying "her purchase." My budget has tightened, so this Epson can handle my current needs....out of time to purchase my own. Great discovery.
And, its compact size is truly a relief for locating in my
small spare bedroom among all my files and papers.
Thank you
