The Office Hero
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Getting things together for a presentation can be kind of a pain. Lugging around the laptops, screens, projectors and wires. All pretty essential when it comes to getting your point across in the board room. But thanks to the Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector, I walked into the conference room and stole the show with just my smartphone. Right out of the box, you get a nice black carrying bag to house the beautiful black projector and its included power cord, a white remote control( But the projector is black...Come on Epson) and a couple of cheap AA batteries, that should last you quite a while, especially if you just opt to put your own batteries in and save those for when you're desperate. It was super easy to set up( simply by scanning the QR code on the screen and I was off to the races. I did a test run while no one was in the room just to make sure things went off without a hitch. It was Super easy. Barely an inconvenience. However, that's not the only way to connect to this office juggernaut. You can connect your PC directly or through LAN connectivity. HDMI is supported as well. The sound quality is plenty loud enough to get the presentation moving along, but if you really want to crank up the sound, there are connections for video/audio ( red, yellow and white ports). Again, not at all necessary. The best wireless connectivity comes via the Epson Projector App( available on the Apple store or Google Play store) Just download and connect. As always, the only downfall is the price tag. Coming in at $849.99 USD, it can be a bit pricey. But I honestly have to say. If you want a quality projector for home or the office, expect to spend, at the very least, $300 USD. Anything less and you're just selling yourself short at that point. (IMO, of course) But that white remote though?? All in all, I think this would make for a great addition to any office. Also, I think I just got a raise, myself, so that's something.

A fantastic Projector even in bright room
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Epson Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector, and I am absolutely blown away by its performance! I was honestly surprised by just how bright the picture is. I expected a projector to require a completely dark room, but this one delivers vibrant, crisp images even in a room with ambient light. The 3,600 lumens of brightness make a huge difference, providing clear, sharp visuals whether I’m watching movies, giving presentations, or gaming. The Full HD 1080p resolution offers stunning clarity and detail, and colors pop beautifully, thanks to the 3LCD technology. I’ve used other projectors before, but none have matched the brightness and color accuracy that this one delivers. It’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, and I’ve been able to project on a large screen without any loss in quality or brightness. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the wireless capabilities. I was able to connect my laptop, phone, and streaming devices without needing any additional cables. The screen mirroring feature is especially handy, making it super easy to stream content directly from my devices. The projector is also surprisingly quiet, which is a bonus when using it in a home theater setup. The picture is stable and sharp, with minimal adjustments needed, and I love how portable it is for different viewing setups. Overall, the Epson Pro EX9240 has exceeded all my expectations. It’s bright, easy to set up, and delivers incredible picture quality. If you’re looking for a projector that performs well in various lighting conditions and offers excellent image clarity, I highly recommend this one!

Great Projector for Church Use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding projector. We use it for worship and presentations on a 110 inch screen at the front of our very well-lit church, and this shows up on the screen beautifully from about 15 feet away. Connecting wirelessly to our Windows 11 laptop (from another 25 or 30 feet away) was very simple, and no lag!

Best Buy is great for electronics.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far the projector has been great, and works well in a roomful of natural light, which was what I needed for an event space. Best Buy was stellar with delivery and communication. You’ve won me over from ordering electronics or related products from Amazon. It was moderately difficult to figure out how to use- it does not have Bluetooth, but has LAN, which is different. You can connect to your phone wirelessly through LAN, but this disconnects the phone from wifi, which is important if you’re wanting to show media from an online source. At least I couldn’t do better with this. Directly connecting a laptop however does not disconnect the laptop from wifi. I have not tried directly connecting the phone with a cable so that may work. Just something to think about. All in all I’m very pleased with the projector.

Nice Bright Full HD Projector
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 1080p Full HD projector, the Epson Pro EX9240 checks all the boxes. At 4,000 lumens the picture pops in a well lit environment. Having the Wireless option via Miracast is a plus. We would definitely recommend this projector for a classroom.

Not happy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice picture but the installation was/is not user friendly. We bought this for our church. We mounted it on the ceiling. We could not get it to sync with our computer and when it did, it blinked off an on. The geek squad were not able to help us with the install. We finally was able to connect through wifi but we could not have more than one monitor connected to display our slides for service. One Sunday the projector disconnected from the computer and could not be detected by the app. We had to reset the whole projector. Not happy.

Projector and Installation

Excellent projector for your business needs

Some of the image files supported are JPG, BMP, GIF, and PNG. For video, you’re limited to AVI files that must be under 720p and not larger than 2GB. In PC Free Mode there are also some additional settings for playback like sort order, continuous play, screen switching time and, transition effects. A handy feature if you need to just present some images or slides without having to spend time setting up your computer. Build Quality and Design The Epson EX9240 is an all-black shiny plastic casing with smooth round edges that is style towards the business environment. Coming in at under 6lbs is light enough to carry around with the included carrying case. Buttons are easily readable due to the white text labels on the black background. It’s stylish without being over the top. Input Options The Epson EX9240 comes with x2 HDMI ports, x1 VGA Computer input, x1 composite video. You also get an x1 USB Type-A connection and Type-B USB connection. Epson made sure to include a wide variety of connections. As for the wireless connection, you get support for Miracast which is supported by most Windows 10 machines on WiFi and including a number of Android smartphones like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The connection to my laptop via HDMI was stable with no issues. WiFi set up was easy to connect using the remote control. Epson also includes a QR option that can help you assist in setting up a WiFi connection simplifying by just pointing your smartphone camera to the QR code. I was able to test out the Miracast functionality with my smartphone and Windows 10 laptop and it was smooth with no drops in connection either. Having this functionality is a big plus since you no longer have to be tether to one location or fumbled around looking for a cable. Image/Video Quality With the resolution coming in at 1080p projected text and images are displayed razer sharp clear with vibrant colors. Powerpoint slides are projected with superb detail including content that has small text. With 4000 lumens of brightness even with a brightly lit room, the images/video did not wash out or faded away. Video quality is top-notch too. Training videos projected played back smooth with vibrant colors. Color saturation and range were excellent. Within the settings, Epson does provide some options to fine-tune the picture quality to your liking. Some of the options provided are: Color Mode: Presentation: best for color presentations in a bright room. Dynamic: provides a bright picture for bright rooms. Cinema: for movies projected in a dark room sRGB: for content that requires accurate color reproduction like photographs or flyers. Blackboard: best for presentations onto a green chalkboard. Besides the color mode options, each one allows you to individually adjust brightness, contrast, color saturation, tint, sharpness, and white balance. Advanced Settings: For the Iris, the default setting is set to auto but you can also change it to normal or high speed. Overall is a good presentation machine from slides to videos. Even though it’s not marketed as a home cinema machine it performs just as well. So, is it worth it? A resounding yes! The Epson EX9240 is all about business and it shows. From excellent image quality to password driven security features and support for Miracast. Time is money, and Epson has made sure to include a plethora of connectivity inputs to cut down on time being wasted on unnecessary troubleshooting. “Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews.”

Excellent Multi Use Presentation Projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The capabilities needed for a presentation projector have changed dramatically over the years. It's no longer enough to connect a laptop and project a spreadsheet or slide deck in a conference room with a dozen or so participants. Presentations have evolved to contain video, audio, as well as animated and high resolution images. And spreadsheets and slide decks. The presenting device may be a phone, tablet, laptop, or other video source, and it may be connected to the projector by wired, wireless or network connection. The Epson EX9240 projector is a terrific presentation projector for this new paradigm. It supports Full HD (1920x1080) projection from a whole host of devices with a bright, sharp, and color saturated image. I found it capable in any role from the solo visiting presenter to enterprise class presentations. While it's not really a home theater projector, it's no slouch in that role either. It offers multiple methods to connect display devices using a computer, smartphone, tablet, video player or even usb stick as a source device with multiple ways to connect, both wired and wireless. What's in the Box: A remote that doubles as a wireless mouse (with batteries) power cord soft carrying case Quickstart guide Note that there is NO driver disk, thankfully! If you want the Epson Projection Manager (window, mac, ios, android, and chromos), you download it from the Epson site. Otherwise, it just works with just about everything! The image quality is absolutely tops, very bright, sharp, with deep, saturated colors. Projection in a conference room with the lights on was perfectly acceptable. The FullHD resolution means that the level of detail in the presentation can match that of most modern laptops, and videos don't lose anything. The zoom lens made it usable in a small conference room to a room suitable for 50 or so people. It also worked really well in a living room. The keystone autocorrect worked well enough, and there was manual correction for both vertical and horizontal keystoning. The built in audio amplifier/speaker was a nice touch and significantly better than using the speakers built into my laptop. Louder too! The menu system is very easy to navigate, very intuitive, and offers lots of options. The buttons on the projector are double duty, but are well marked and easy to use. There is a remote for presentation which has some neat features, such as image hold and A/V mute. Wired connections are HDMI, VGA, Discrete A/V, and USB. The USB acts like a USB video device, so no special drivers are needed. There is a wireless option which is actually pretty cool. The projector can act like a local access point for 'quick' connections, or it can join an existing wireless network for over the network presentations. This will significantly reduce the setup fumbling time for those multi-presenter presentations. It also supports Miracast, which seems to be built into everything these days. In terms of portability, size, connectivity, and of course presentation quality, the Epson EX9240 will be hard to beat. It just works for anything from small conference room meetings to large audience, multi-site, multi-presenter applications. Good job Epson!

A Projector for Work
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For work this is an awesome projector, I wouldn’t necessarily want to use it for my home projector. For the video portion of meetings this projector has everything, it can connect via Wi-Fi, Miracast, HDMI, VGA, RCA video, USB ‘docking station’ (type B), and USB A (for cameras, thumb drive, and such). It is very much designed for being able to connect however you need to in a business. For me personally the Miracast is by far the most useful feature, Wi-Fi is awesome especially for device management from an asset management perspective but for using the speaker Miracast is just super useful, anyone can cast to the screen that is in the room so no need to give guests Wi-Fi access or deal with cords or anything like that. There are also a ton of share features, both displaying multiple laptops from different sources and sharing the same screen to multiple projectors (I wasn’t able to test this last feature as I only have one projector). The menu of the projector was easy to use to navigate to setup features. This isn’t a short throw projector so don’t expect to be able to put it super close to the wall, but it gets a really nice size from 10’ away you’re looking at a 100” screen and you can adjust the screen size with the zoom ring as well which is right next to the focus ring. Lastly is the A/V mute slider that blocks the video as well. Talking about Zoom, the remote as an awesome zoom feature that can allow you to zoom in on documents down to almost a single word and then move around the document if you so choose. This is probably one of the top features I appreciate about the projector as well. Lastly, if you were hoping to need to present in the dark with this thing you’d be out of luck. It is very well visible in a well lite room. I love the brightness of this thing. So, onto to what I do not love so much about this projector. The speaker is loud but tinny, we have some nice speakers in several of our conference rooms that I would prefer over this one and teaching people to select their output source on their computer can be… tiresome. A simple audio out would be as well as the speaker would make me so much happier. And that’s it, it is one of the most capable projectors I have used with the disadvantage that the only audio out is the speaker or changing it from the source device. Which gets back to why I might not use this as my home projector, but I definitely would for work. The built-in speaker is good enough for work but not for home. Pros: -Tons of ways to connect including Miracast -Can show multiple sources at once -Wi-Fi connection for collecting logs for asset management purposes -Bright output (viewable in a well-lit room) -Clear crisp image -Adjustable screen size (not just by moving the projector) -Documents zoom feature -Loud built-in speaker -Detachable power cord -Adjustable feet -Comes with carrying bag Cons: -No Audio output besides built-in speaker (you can usually control output with source device) Overall, as long as you aren’t looking for Audio out on your projector, I can easily recommend this projector.

Bright picture!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were wanting a new projector that would be more viewable in rooms with the lights on or in offices with many windows. (people still need to see what else is going on) This is the projector! Rooms had to be pretty dim with our old one. Not an ideal situation when giving client presentations. This Epson solves that problem! Of course it does give a better picture if the area right in front of the "screen" can be darkened. This projector was easy enough to set up. I put it on a desk and plugged it into my laptop and the software automatically loaded up. Nice! If you have a phone or tablet, that can be used as well. Download the Epson app and you can connect to the projector wirelessly.(The laptop can be a wireless connection too, I found out after the fact.) You can also mirror your device screen. I really like the fact that with the wireless built in, others can join in presentations with their own devices. (Just have them install the app) The case that is included is a really nice, convenient bonus. Also has extra pockets for files if needed. It makes it easy to grab and go if you need to be mobile. There is also a built in speaker if it is needed. It doesn't sound the greatest, but nice to have the option. The only possible downside I've noticed so far is where you have to place the projector. The old projector was (mainly) set up in the office to hang from the ceiling, at a slight angle down. You can't angle this Epson down enough, so it has to sit on a desk. (it has a built in foot to prop it up.) All in all, We are very happy with the new addition to the business.
