Alot to Offer But Falls Short
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From using this product, you can tell that this projector was designed with the professional in mind. However, the execution does miss the mark in some areas. Let's start off with the good. The sound is great, and picture is very bright. Also, Epson gives the consumer a wide range of connection options. You have VGA, RCA, HDMI, USB, and Miracast making this item practical for the school, office, home, and on the go. The inclusion of a carrying case was a nice bonus as well. Despite the availability of choices, picture quality is only great from the HDMI ports. Although Miracast technology is new, I was so disappointed in how it looked when I decided to "cast" my phone screen when presenting. It resembled closer to the appearance of USB or RCA rather than HDMI. The Android app for setting up Miracast worked well. However, the supporting software on PC seems very antiquated in design and user experience. I really wanted to like this projector more, but only the HDMI ports are best options for picture quality. The projector does get warm and a little noisy, but it's not anything concerning.

OK but could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok projector, a little pricey, for what you get. Ordered two of them for a conference room. One of them is very soft at the edges, cannot focus properly. The other is OK, not great, but OK. If these projectors were about $150 cheaper they would be a decent deal for the quality you get. there are better projectors out there if you were looking for high definition.

Great picture. Just lacks accessibility
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture! Great projector. It's just it didn't have accessibility like it should. It's got to have easier accessibility with HDMI cable, phone app, a mirror projection something. And it just seemed too difficult to do that. It's got to be simpler.

Great pic/poor audio out
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture. Can not get an external speaker to work with system. We have ordered several different wires/cords and audio splitters trying to get amplified sound from a speaker. Best Buy sales person assured us system would work. No such luck

Good when it works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had to have this thing replaced twice already. I’m on my third one. I like it, it’s nice when it works, but I shouldn’t have had to replace it twice. I should have bought a step up. But grateful for the protection plan, I don’t have to pay for the replacements.

Good value, but didn’t quite meet my needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a 1.6x zoom option, which is fantastic for getting your preferred screen size. I was able to project about 120” from about 8 feet away. Also retried 150” at an angle about 10 feet away. The image was clear. The input lag was decent when projecting centered. Ultimately, I will be returning because I had to project at an angle, which required keystone correction that kills input lag for PvP gaming. To put into perspective, my 75” Sony’s 35ms lag made the game unplayable. So I would guess this projector has a sub-30ms lag without any digital correction. Also no optical out.

Decent bright video but miracast is junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a mid range first projector. Hoping epson and 1080 with miracast would be a good combo. Biggest fail was that miracast decoder is junk for casting video (tldr; creates a stack of pics) I got a Chromecast to give me a smart tv like option for when I'm too lazy to attach device via hdmi i can still cast streaming services over Chromecast. Still think the projector works good enough as a home cinema and can use in partial light and stilñ enjoy the scene as long as its not super darkly lit content. Looking back i probably would have paid a few hundred more for 4k and better contrast and blacks but at least i can test it out a few years and not be too worried taking it on the road (as with a 1500$ or more model
