Customers are saying

Customers admire the M1 Dash Cam's excellent video quality and ease of use, finding it easy to install and use with other Escort products. However, some customers feel the price is high for the features offered, and the app could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the lack of GPS functionality and the mount's limited adjustability.

Seems to work well. My phone battery drains quite about but it's nice that it records. Wish I could put a bigger ad card in it to record more but it is nice to have.

it’s ok. Not good bang for your buck

First and foremost I feel as if this camera deserves 3 stars. But when you look at passport/escort website they hand pick 5 star reviews to publish. I’m not ok with that. I have had this camera for 6 months now. The good: -well, it’s a dash camera -the ability to see and pull footage from your phone is nice -it piggybacks off your radar detector so that is nice. -footage quality is acceptable The bad: -the ability to see and pull footage from your phone is an absolute joke. It takes you 20 minutes to watch a 5 minute clip using their “WiFi connection”. That’s if it even works. Do some homework and you will see there are lots of complaints about this, it’s even the first bulletpoint on their FAQ with an assurance this will be fixed ASAP. Well 28 months later with no fix...... -200$ for this thing?! Really?! They have to be pulling 200-300% profit on this thing. -the in app features are a joke. You can’t delete locked footage (from like a G-sensor tripped video). There is little to no explanation on what settings does what. The app itself is super slow and laggy.

what sold me was the ease of connecting to my radar detector. viewing clips is very difficult using i phone. had to purchase adapter to view on my mac. removing the sd card is not real easy. you have to push fairly hard to get it to release. picture quality is very good. I would recommend.

I purchased this cam, as I have an escort sector. This cam integrates with the detector. It attaches to the side (no additional suction cup on the windshield, AND no additional power cord!) My detector and cam share the same power cord. Video looks great. With the app, you can monitor the video on your phone as well.

This works pretty nicely, the app is easy to use, but not being permanently mounted, it is pretty much only usable on roadtrips since a big Max360 permanently mounted would eventually get my windows broken and stolen. I wished it worked without the Max unit as a standalone, but it does not. At this price, you could get a better dashcam, but that is more wires to either have hanging around, or another thing to mount, I have the hidden wired for my Escort, and I will no longer be seeking a dedicated fulltime camera, though I really think I should.

The Dash cam is easy to use down loads right to my phone and can downloads to my computer with a card reader. Picture's are clear and The built-in collision detection system stores important footage in the event of a crash.

I purchased the M1 when I got the Max360c (Read my review on that). Out of the box the unit came with a 16gb SanDisk industrial MicroSD card. Hookup was easy when paired with a compatible Escort radar detector. If you want to take the M1 and the radar with you, if you are leaving The vehicle, the whole mount will have to come with. Yes you can unscrew it from the mount but no one has time for that. As for ease of use you will have to rely on either removing the SD card and inserting it into the computer, or as the easiest way is to hook the camera via the built in Wi-Fi and download it to your phone. The front-facing camera has 1080p at 30fps. So it’s not special at all. You can set the G-force sensitivity for when an accident occurs, it saves it into a different file location that does not get deleted while the camera loops over previous footage. For this camera, if you are looking for a simple setup with your Escort radar detector, it gets the job done.

This thing is one of the coolest items I have ever had. I bought 2 Cams one for the back and one for the front. You just have to use 2 iPhones but I have 2. so thats cool. This way until they come out with these automatically in your vehicles for recording 24/7 365 I wanted this due to motor cycle guys tried to cause me to wreck my new truck. They were goofing off acting stupid so I went straight to the Best Buy and bought a radar and camera system BEST THING I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. QUALITY WILL SHOCK YOU

Let's face it, the only reason I got this was because I already had an Escort Radar Detector. I love how small this thing and how easily bolts on to my radar detector mount. My only request is the ability to turn off the flashing green LED. Pros Video Quality is great- No need for 4k video Ease of Install Sleek look No Extra Wiring Cons No rear camera like the blackvue I had Limited video settings compared to the blackvue Slow Transfer speed over wifi

its a good camera. Great resolution, but the mount for the Passport IX-c is cumbersome and instructions are not very clear. App takes a while to get used to.

Excellent dash cam. Its not a stand alone dash cam. Its a companion to an Escort max. The bracket that it comes with is only going to fit on the Escort max bracket. The power that fed the radar detector plugs into this dashcam and the dashcam has a pigtail connector that will now power the radar detector. Super clear HD video. Highly recommended.
