Thought I would upgrade to the newest of their current line, HUGE mistake!. After a couple calls to Escort customer service for just trying to get it to connect to the app I decided that this unit is garbage. It’s out of my car and been replaced by my ultra reliable Max 2 that was going to be replaced by this unit. Also, this unit has not alerted me 1 time in 3 days, and I know where false signals are on my way to work. I’ve also noticed the quality of the unit is not what you should expect from a detector that costs $800. My Max 2 has a much more quality feel about it, looks like I’m sticking with my Max 2 now.

Posted .We are sorry to hear about the issues you had with MAXcam 360c. We are listening to customer feedback like yours and are continually improving the apps through updates. MAXcam 360c detects radar better than MAX 2. There are a couple possibilities which might explain what you experienced:
Auto sensitivity (SEN) mode – MAXcam ships in Auto SEN mode. To reduce false alerts, Auto SEN mode reduces X and K radar detection range when traveling slowly. At 55 MPH it is detecting X and K at full strength. To detect X and K and full strength all of the time, use Highway SEN mode. Continually press the SEN button to cycle through all of the SEN modes.
AutoLearn – by default MAXcam has AutoLearn enabled. AutoLearn learns when it detects the same signal at the same location after 3 passes and will store this alert as a false. When it is stored, or locked out, you will not receive an audible alert to this signal but you can see it on the display in grey.

Don’t buy if you value your time

Instructions are terrible
