Far Cry New Dawn is a first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game is a spin-off of the Far Cry series and a narrative sequel to Far Cry 5. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 15, 2019, and received generally mixed reviews from critics.
The game is a bit smaller than the FC5 map, but they give you a ton of stuff to do, and it’s worth the $39 price tag, might be a $20 game by this holiday season, overall a fun open world shooter once again.

Despite New Dawn utilizing the same engine and graphics from FC5, it's still a pleasant surprise to feel like a new adventure; the new color palette breathes new life in a post-apocalyptic world of Hope county. While the two new antagonists can't hold a candle to the previous game's villains, The Family, the storyline is engaging enough to see how things have changed after the nuclear disaster, meeting back up with some of your favorite sidekicks from before.
Every element that made Far Cry 5 great remains. You can't go wrong here.

This game is more of an expansion of the first instead of a standalone game. The map looks big at first, since it's the one from Far Cry 5, except it only uses a small portion. The story is mediocre and very short. In fact, if you played through it quickly you could probably beat it in 4 hours. That doesn't mean it's bad. If you play with a friend it makes it much, much better and less of a grind. It's not a perfect game, but the visuals are terrific. Bright and vivid colors in a post apocalyptic world isn't the norm, and I loved that. So overall it's a good, but not great game. I'd probably wait until it was around $20. Even $30-40 is a bit much.

Overall, I think Far Cry New Dawn is a decent game. It doesn't really bring anything new to the series and seems like it it just a standalone expansion to Far Cry 5 that's kind of short. Would recommend buying when it's on sale again for $20 or less.

I've played all the Far Cry games. Although I liked Far Cry 3 the best, New Dawn was a great game that had amazing graphics. Even after I finished the game I went back and played the open map for hours. The story was good and the weapons were awesome.

great graphics and gameplay. Dumb story and characters. Avoid the story and just have fun playing around in the open world. Far Cry 5 is better but for $15, this is pretty good DLC.

New Dawn takes place 17 years after the events of Far Cry 5, putting you in the shoes of a captain serving under Thomas Rush, the defacto leader of rebuilding communities in America after 'The Collapse'. A distress call from Hope County comes from the daughter of Nick and Kim Rye, named Carmina Rye, whose home is being overrun and terrorized by The Highwaymen, a band of outlaws led by twin sisters Lou and Mickey.
New Dawn takes what made Far Cry 5 one of 2018's best games and expands on it, offering a more fleshed out upgrade systems for weapons, ammo and gear. The post apocalyptic setting is at times vibrant, with nature having a rebirth with wildlife and fauna blooming in or around manmade areas. Yet, areas that were accessible during Far Cry 5, are now blocked away, still suffering from the nuclear fallout.
Far Cry New Dawn is impressive in most aspects, but it doesn't do anything groundbreaking to set it apart from the superior Far Cry 5. Visually, it is quite a sight to behold on whatever platform you choose to play it on, but for those of you that have either PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, get it on the X.

I went into the game kinda on the defensive being it had more of rpg element compare to other Far Cry games. But the game works well with it. Just wish it had more customizable weapons instead of having to unlock weapons with sights and suppresser. The setting is real perfect and how they capture, the surroundings areas of Far Cry 5 into a wasteland is just amazing. Kinda wish for another post-apocalypse area. In all this game is way better than 5.

I've only recently started this game but so far it's good! Theres even weapons like guns and stuff that u kind of rigg together that makes for some interesting firepower! The only thing I hsvent really liked is the character customization! Not a whole lot of options which makes characters look the same and some voices just dont go with the characters which actually makes it kind of funny!

Not a total Ring Ding for me. First off this should have been an expansion, not the sorry excuse Mars and Bologna “expansions” they did on FC5. Plays with the feel of FC4. It’s a Soft pudgy one for me. Really a 3.5 in my book. I bought it with points and Gamer Club discount. Glad I didn’t pay full price.

Overall, this game was worth the $40. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because I didn't feel quite as connected to the villains as in the previous FC's. They were somewhat corny. However, the game does a great job of keeping you engaged with activities that make it worth the playthrough.

I love all of the FarCry games. This one is no exception. It has plenty of action. And new weapons to use against The Twins and their army of bad guys. Like the other FarCry games it is open world, First Person Shooter. You can play solo or co-op.

(it's actually 3.5 ⭐) So the game has all of the excellent far cry standards you've come to know and love. Spot on FPS controls. Decent enough loot system for accomplishing certain tasks, pretty graphics, etc. It just doesn't feel like a standalone game. It feels more like some DLC campaign that's worth it for $20-30 but definitely not much more than that. I traded in a couple of other games and got my copy for $25. Unless you just can't live without it, I suggest finding a used copy or waiting until the price comes down. Also, don't waste your real money on the in game micro transactions. Gear and parts come at a rate that will make you mad that you wasted extra money.

I wasn't the biggest Far Cry 5 fan, but moving the game into the aftermath of nuclear war was certainly the right decision. It's the classic Far Cry model (plenty of things to do and locations to clear out) with a tinge of radiation.

Extension of the last far cry, plays great. You don't really need to have played farcry5, but if you have it just adds to the story. Some new weapons and stuff. I just really love the open world, wander around type of experience. And you can fish if you get stressed out!

Farcry 5 was one of my favorites and I thoroughly enjoyed coming back to hope county and concluding the story after 5. Great graphics and had enough content to make this a great purchase. if you enjoyed 5 this is a must.
