Anyone who liked the movie Fargo from the Coen Brothers will be delighted to watch the TV adaptation of the film. The Tv show of Fargo is loaded with stars such as Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Martin Freeman, Bob Odenkirk, and Oliver Platt. The movie and Tv show of Fargo are considered dark comedy. Some people don't really like dark comedy, some people love it. It all depends on your sense of humour. To me, dark comedy is like wine, you usually got to acquire a taste for it. Most of the time, you're either gonna love dark comedy or you're gonna hate it, there's no in-between. I highly recommend this to anyone that liked the movie Fargo or for anyone who likes dark comedy. Also, I read they renewed this show for an additional season, which'll be sort of a prequel season. There's not many TV shows that feel like a whole movie by the time you reach the end of the season, this is one of them. The Coen brothers successfully brought their movie Fargo to TV and it's really good.

Excellent show. Connects to the film that came before it, but stands on its own merits and quickly establishes itself as a must-watch tv show. Like the Coen Brothers Oscar-winning film, this show deftly mixes comedy with drama for a unique viewing experience. The acting is superb, with Martin Freeman, sort of filling the hapless role that William Macy played in the movie. Billy Bob Thornton, however, steals the show with a tour de force turn as the show's primary villain. The suspense builds with every frame when he is on the screen. Worth watching for his performance alone.

While Season Two is perhaps a 1/2 step below the Original Season of the Fargo TV miniseries...it was very entertaining and full of superb action much like the 1st. With all the awards the first Fargo received (and with an amazing cast), the bare was set very high. Season Two didn't disappoint, but simply had a hard act to follow and nearly duplicated the first year. Well done, and in the typical Coen brothers style...which grows on many people.

Gave the movie 5 stars and the TV series 4 stars. The stars were cast well and the story was highly entertaining. Just enough action to keep my interest thru all the episodes. The Coen brothers always throw plot twists at you that you can never anticipate and can be both comical and serious.

In some ways the TV expansion of the Coen brothers dark comedy improves on the feature film. Less crass, yet just as amusing in its own deadpan way, the show boasts stellar performances by Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton and atmospheric staging that captures the icy mood of the original story.

Fargo has received rave reviews and Golden Globe nominations. Even though the violence in it is not my cup of tea, I bought it for my teenage nephew. He's a fan of Dexter and I thought this would be right down his alley. So far he hasn't watched it, but it seems as if he's eager.

Fargo, in my opinion, was one of the best surprise hits for any network. it came out of no where and garnished award after award after award. The BluRay did not disappoint as well. The packaging to the disc menus and special features are worth a day of binge watching.

This series is like an expanded version of the movie... Unhappy husband who wants to get rid of his wife and hires a hit man to take care of things but it goes awry. The casting is excellent with movie stars such as Billy Bob Thornton, Morgan Freeman and Colin Hanks.

The series is very well written and keeps you wanting to watch more. Only rated 4 stars because the DVD colors on our Toshiba DVD player come out very discolored. It's not our player, since all other DVDs play very well. Using PS3 and all colors are normal.

I was half expecting this show to be a really sorry attempt at recreating the very solid and awesome movie, but i was pleasantly surprised. Great actors, acting, and writing, make this a clear winner and I look forward to many more seasons.

We have not had a chance to watch any of the first episodes, but we loved the movie by The Coen Brothers, and our grandparents greatly enjoyed it. They recommended it to us and gave it to us for Christmas. We can't wait to see it!

Overall, had a nice experience shopping with Best Buy online buying CDs and DVDs -I was a little disappointed that one of my backordered items was cancelled - but at least I was notified and not kept hanging.

I am a single dad. I took a chance and picked this tv series up for my 19 year old son for christmas. He loved it. The thing i liked about it was we were able to binge watch together!

I loved the 96 film. While the show doesnt quite live up to its big screen predocessor, strong performances keep it afloat amid a few slower paced episodes.

Billy Bob Thornton is really evil. You can't take your eyes off of him. Plus it is funny in spots. Season 2 is a great but I prefer season 1.

Fun series that used number of elements from the original film, but could easily stand on its own. A nice number of surprises.

Great acting and enjoyable story of interactions between all characters in this twisting series. Season 2 is great also.

Living so close to Fargo lets me enjoy the humor of this series since I don't get to catch the program due to my work schedule.

TV shows made from movies are never any good...is what I said until I watched the Fargo tv series. Funny and dark, just like the movie.

The acting in this series was superb. Season 1 is one to digest all alone to pick up on all the irony. Season 2 just started.
