Very sharp, good image quality

Good lens, constant f/4, lighter than 24-70GM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In the end I opted to return this lens and get the 24-70 GM. I wanted to try this lens as it had a little better range, but in the end I found the extra range was not as important as being able to go down to a f/2.8 f-stop. Unfortunately Sony cheaped out on the design of this one, so when you zoom out it protrudes to become a longer lens rather than the professional lenses that can zoom in/out and remain the same size. Other than that the lens was sharp and seemed well made. I will recommend this lens, but only because it is decently priced for what it is. The design is really embarrassing the way it sticks out as you zoom. It looks like you have a cheap kit lens when you are out with your professional Nikon/Canon buddies.

Fantastic all around lens

I’ve been able to do everything from portraits to landscape photography with ease. There is not much to say about this lens other then it’s a great bang for the buck! Oh and you can shoot some great B-Roll with it as well as a kicker!
