For a non-heart rate activity monitor, the Fitbit Alta is great. Sleek and slim design allows you to do normal everyday activities without a cumbersome device on your wrist. Battery has lasted me between 7-9 days dependent on how much I have used or synced it while Bluetooth has continuously been one. I really love the Fitbit app over the Garmin app for nutrition and calorie counting. I haven't found anything yet that I can't get to the calorie counter to find with ease. Fits my very small wrist well with no issues. I have worn it in the shower with no issues either. The only con I can immediately recall is that when I'm outside and have my polarized sunglasses on, I can't read the screen to see the time, etc. I use the Alta for calorie counter, steps, distance, active minutes, sleep tracking, and exercise. I am highly satisfied with my decision to switch from the Garmin Vivosmart to the Fitbit Alta for the way that I use the device.

Love my Alta's sleek jewelry-like design. Is looks great everyday or dress up! Change bands for even classer look. Functions great for steps, shows distance walked and other activities. Acts like a watch wth date and time. Customize the display,information, and activities. Set alarms. Alta cheers you on and sends you reminders. Shows incoming calls and texts. Only regret is it doesnt show heart rate. An awesome buy and affordable.

The Fitbit Alta is slim lined and available in many stylish colors. It lets you track steps, sleep patterns and miles. I like being able to see the display with just a turn of the wrist. It does not read heart rate or number of flights of stairs, But I do like the hourly notices to get up and move and the multiple silent alarms that can be set. Warning! Using your new all to fit that can be addictive! Syncing cell phone and fit bit to be able to see texts and who is calling is also a neat feature

Handy device to track my steps/miles each day. It also tracks how I sleep at night...which actually is quite interesting in that it shows how restless my sleep actually is. I also get weekly updates on my IPhone to show my total steps/miles from week to week. A good incentive.

I love it. This is my first venture into activity tracking and I'm hooked. I love the sleek design, I have a small wrist so it fits perfectly along with my watch on same wrist. I love the reminder to move, step count and the synchronization to my phone. I've joined challenges and it's amazing. I'm so aware of my steps and I'm on the road to being healthier.

I like the size of the Alta. It's not too big like the Surge, so it allows me to wear my dressier watches without calling too much attention that I am wearing TWO watches. I like the sleekness of the watch and fits comfortably. The one down side is the band is hard to get on. Maybe it's just me but I have trouble getting those 2 spikes on the band to align with the holes. I googled on line and they have universal replacement bands for the Alta, and the replacement band is your traditional sports watch band and it is so much easier to put on now!

I wanted something that wasn't too expensive, that would motivate me and wasn't too big or clunky. It tracks everything I want to track. I am very pleased with it. Light weight, a little difficult to put on in the beginning, but goes on easy after the first few days. Price is decent as well. There is a forum for any questions or issues. I understand they offer great customer service as well.

Love the Fitbit. It gets me moving and keeps me motivated to meet daily goal and tracks sleep. Only problem is the charger clip is plastic and one side broke. The only way I can charge my Fitbit is by jerry rigging it with tape (not good). Only purchased in June 1 month ago.

I love my Alta Fitbit! It is a great tracker as we’ll as a watch. It reminds me and motivates me throughout the day to get moving. A weekly report on my cellphone shows my progress.

This will be my first fitbit purchase, but not my first step tracker purchase. I've bought cheaper ones in the past and have gotten what I paid for. With this new sleek design of fitbit, I am able to wear this without feeling like im hunkered down by a larger device. I also like the fact that you can change out the bands. It's pretty accurate when it comes to counting your steps. I mean, I work in an airplane and it doesn't really count the turbulence we go through ;) but it does count your vigorous arm movements as steps (i.e. chopping veggies), so when you're in the kitchen, I wouldn't wear it. I also like the fact that it syncs with MyFitnessPal app, which saves me the hassle of transferring data manually between the two apps. And it just logs your active minutes into the MyFitnessPal instead of taking all of your lost calories for the day. Being new to the fitbit app, I am still getting used to the features, but am slowly getting the hang of everything, and it seems fairly user friendly and fun. The alta will tell you to get moving with a small buzz, which isn't as bothersome as I initially thought it would be =) And being a big texter, the text notifications are awesome! && I utilize my calendar a lot, so the reminders from that are great as well. These all can be turned off if you aren't a fan. The only thing I wish it had was a heart rate monitor, but I since I don't really need to track that, the smaller design won me over.

My family gave this to me as a birthday gift, after I dropped many hints that this was the only thing that I wanted :) I had studied out the specs of the Alta, and it has everything that it says that it does. My only complaint is that I have to tap it (or flip my wrist) harder than I think that I should to get the stats to display. Other than that, it works perfectly. I enjoy the vibrating alarm and call/text alert, and the fact that the Alta uploads the fitness info seamlessly to the app. Win!

I love my Fitbit. It's awesome. I can track miles, calories and hours of sleep.

I've had the Fitbit charge, and I thought that was pretty good, but this is GREAT! The band doesn't smell as fast due to sweat and quick hand washing. You can read the beginning of incoming text messages, and you can edit everything to how you want it displayed.

My wife loves her Fitbit and she wears it all the time. It's comfortable not big and bulky. She likes the motivation that it gives her throughout the day. The only think that she doesn't like is that it isn't waterproof. But we would recommend this to anybody.

I just love it. It works well and I can change wristband to all kinds of different ones. I am thinking of getting the hold one. No need to watch anymore.

I have lost 34 pounds since using a tracker...I started with a very basic tracker by jawbone and then became spoiled when I realized I would be able to see everything on fit bit screen I was hooked...

The Fitbit Alta is a great gift for yourself or to give away !! Since I had being using it!! I had loose weight Becuase I don't eat all the bad food and I always remember the fibit!!! Best things
