In less it's going to be in the house water resistant is not waterproof. Make sure you plan on buying the $80 outside housing for it. However the camera is awesome. The housing is ridiculously sturdy and I have already caught someone in my truck and some pretty funny moments. I feel more secure and I would definitely recommend a scammer. Easy to set up easy to use stays online no problems rapid recap is awesome

I was looking for a camera for my apartment since the building I live in has been put up for sale and there are many showings with people I don't know coming through. The camera does as advertised by allowing remote access via an app for smartphone or tablets however there is no access yet through the web. Flir states this is in development but has no projected release date. The app is easy to use and you can toggle either motion or audio detection. I have found that even on the lowest setting that the motion detection is over sensitive and alerts me of many false positives. The solution I found, after even trying to call customer service support to resolve this issue, was to enable audio detection versus motion detection since I live in a pretty quiet place. Since I have done this I have not gotten any false readings. Customer service assured me that they are working on the sensitivity issue detect less false positives in the future. The camera does not come with the real user manual so some things aren't completely explained in detail about its functions I found myself contact and customer service several times to answer questions that I had. Each representative was always friendly and willing to help but I did not get every answer that I ask for. One thing to note is that customer service, and the company, are open to suggestions from customers that then get forwarded to the development team to be considered. One issue that I suggested was to be able to disable a very audible beep that comes from the camera if you decide to hit record from the app. Once again, I'm using this to try to monitor my apartment and at times I might randomly just check in on the camera when I don't have it set for audio or motion detection and if there ever was an instance where I wanted to try to capture something that I noticed and I hit the record button it would certainly alert whoever or whatever was happening at that time and I wish this was a function that could be disabled. Overall, after playing with the camera some I have found how to make it work for me. I am also hopeful that the company will roll out updates the only improve the function of the camera. I do like that this camera has the ability to take in an SD card up to 64 gigabytes. It comes with an 8 gigabyte card already. The camera also has other accessories that you can buy and an additional cost for various functions but I have not delved into any of them. The camera is detachable from its base but be aware that the base also acts as an additional battery for the camera doubling the amount of time that you can record footage.

The camera works well, including the infrared. Picture is crisp and clean, I love the Rapid Recap feature. There are problems though, for some reason, it loses connection randomly. This isn't an Internet problem, it's definitely the product. Also, you should be able to communicate with others through the camera, but nobody seems to understand what I'm saying due to static, break-ups, and lag time.

The video quality was very good compared to other similarly priced wifi cameras, showed a very crisp view of the room. How it did is motion detection wasn't quite consistent. The app is good, but there are better ones. Adjusting songs wasn't as clear as would have liked compared to other products. Battery lasted for a short while, so good for power outages, bit not for wireless recording. Reviewing saved video could be improved upon. Field of view was typical.

    Simple setup-Amazing return

I have setup and utilized numerous camera vendors for years and this has performed beyond expectations. I use one of these in each of my remote location IT rooms. It has a 4hr backup battery, instant text on trigger/instant playback on phone along with text/email export off mobile device. ULTRA HD mode plus zoom which I didnt have on DVR(s). Scanned the barcode on camera bottom with phone app and connected in seconds. They can also be triggered by temperature range which tells me if a remote IT room sight has lost an AC unit etc. Ones purchased are indoor and do not get "Bleached out" with Exit sign glare etc like others Ive used. I am purchasing 2 for the house exterior entrances. A bit pricey at $199 but you get more than your moneys worth considering the comparable vendors Ive tested always leave me wishing for better quality. Attached is a pic of an employee with all of the light off and a second location with lights on.

I bought 2 of these cameras so that I could key an eye on my 3 cats while I was not home. I'm happy with the cameras. They give a wide range of view, and the night vision is very nice. These also have audio features, so I could "talk" to my cats while I'm not home - not that they care. They'll look up at the camera and go right back to sleep. Still, for peace of mind, it's definitely worth it.

The set up is fairly simple and the picture quality is great. This unit is VERY sensitive to sound. Had it in the laundry room to keep and eye on our dog, forgot to turn off and even with the door closed and two rooms away we couldn't even whisper without it picking up the sound. Night vision is good, intercom works nice but the dog doesn't recognize any commands we have tried yet. :-) The main thing that sold us on this unit over some other choices, was the rapid replay but that is a monthly subscription service. But you get notifications of movement on your phone (unless you leave it on all the time, which would drain your phone battery watching them all) you can watch the little snippets fairly easily. Nice way to check on kids or pets.

Setup was a bit of a challenge but once it was up, it's a pretty good tool. The mobility is nice because you can move it around your house easily. Not sure I would compare it to other action cameras though. App is a little finicky to.

So we were looking into cameras because me and the lady decided we were going to get a dog. Turns out the dogs a pain in the behind and we needed much more than the camera. That's besides the point though. This camera is quite awesome. We have it set up in our downstairs living area so that it captures the entire space. The best part about this camera is the rapid recap function. If you're not blown away by that feature alone then there may be something wrong with you.

This security camera has good resolution. It comes with a micro-SD memory card (8 GB, I think). You can set it up to store video on the cloud. It has recording features so that you can set triggers when sound is detect and/or motion. The sensitivity level goes from low to medium to high. The only downside to this is that you need a smart phone or tablet to access any of these features. You cannot do it with a computer. Once you download the app, it takes a while to get setup. There's not much in terms of instructions. The default setting on the camera is no-IR lighting at night. You have to download the app to set it to active. You can set the resolution from standard to HD. The camera angle is about 160 degrees. I think you can set it a smaller angle too so the outside images don't get distorted. I am satisfied with the purchased.

Its very easy to set up and the mobile app it comes with is great. The frame rate is about 30fps which is very good for mobile LTE. It can do all sorts of features like zones ignores, infrared at night and recording. Way better than the Dropcam I tried before.

I purchased this to keep an eye on my grandmothers house while she is away for therapy as we thought someone was coming into her home while she was away for extended periods of time. Only real complaint I have is that cloud cover or shadowing sets off the motion alert. This was a easy fix though and I set it to audio alerts. Now I just get a alert when the phone rings, otherwise I was getting them all day long 4-10 times a hour for no reason.

Nice build quality. Software is a little rudimentary & quirky. I tried updating firmware on 2 of these cameras right out of box & took about 3-4 times each before it would take. Also takes a bit for the recorded video to appear in list to view remotely. Great quality image & expect all be great with software updates!

i like the user interface (app). Its very simple and does the job. The only thing i don't like about this is that sometimes its too sensitive as it gives alot of uncessary notifications that is detects motion. I've asked them to also include time to start recording and end recording, so it only records times that you are not home. other than this, its a great product.

These cameras are easy to set up and integrate thru your wifi. Sensitivity to sound and motion is really touchy; you'll end up turning these down. Only issue I have is battery life - a couple of hours unplugged and they are done. If you think you'll hang them on your porch and recharge them on Saturdays...nope! Image is great. The replay feature is great. I'd buy them again. Note: FLIR makes cameras for a wide variety of industrial applications. Used to buy their stuff for a steel mill. Their brand means much to me - always reliable in some harsh industrial environments.

This product works as intended and has great picture quality. I absolutely love the rapid recap feature. All cameras should have this feature! But... It often gets false warnings of movement in a room where there is no movement at all (No wind blowing things, no change in lighting. Those are common false movement warnings. We don't have those). Also you are required to get the phone app. For me that's an awesome feature. For people that don't have a smart phone, don't get it.
