I researched MANY MANY a/c brands. I instantly found this unit to have the MOST positivite reviews! I'm so glad I purchased this unit. I bought it for my garage & it cools so well that I leave it in economy mode where it doesn't need to run endlessly. It cycles on and off. The noise level is average. Don't believe the negative comments. Easy to install. I did it all by myself in about 10 minutes.

A very good A.C. for the price. Keeps the room very cool. It is also quite. Compact enough for me to put in and take out of the window.

Had this unit for about 4 weeks. Works great. Have about a 450 sq foot 2nd floor bedroom. Using this unit to supplement a central air unit which seems to work too hard to keep the 2nd floor cool. So far seems to have decrease our monthly electric bill by $25 - $30. We set the AC to come on about 2 hours before we are ready for bed which runs on cool mode. When setting timer, you are unable to run in ECON mode. However, we switch to Econ mode once we head to bed. ECON mode works fine, cycles every 10 min as it is supposed to. However, we notice that the temp setting when in ECON mode runs about 8 degrees above what it is set for. Thus, if you have it set for 66 on the AC, room cools to about 74. Some may find that irritating but we just make the adjustment accordingly on the AC and set the temp accordingly taking into account the 8 degree variance. Very easy to install, had no issues and was able to seal easily around window and edges. I do wonder if we had gone with a 12,000 unit if the temp variance on ECON mode would not be as great. Perhaps a 450 sq ft is pushing the limit of the 10,000 unit.

This was the biggest unit I could fit in my shop window. The only things I would change would be giving it a longer cord and making it so the directional vents had a wider range of movement. That being said I feel my shop building has been kept adequately cooled. We have had high 90s temperatures and my rabbits in the shop have been kept comfortable. I really like the eco mode and the remote that come with this unit.

Our central air died during an August heatwave. This window unit was a quick replacement that was easy to install and easy to use. It's done a great job of cooling an area of about 470sq ft.. Does an excellent job of regulating the temperature. We have a thermometer across the room from it, and even on the hottest days it never went more than 1 degree above the set temperature (72).

Large unit for those larger living areas. Cools quickly and maintains temperature. Nice features like energy Saver mode, Auto Fan mode, Fan only, etc. Wings expand to fit larger windows.

Did some research on AC's after my family room window unit stopped working. Was looking for something in 8-10000 BTU range and landed on this particular one. It is a nice unit with very simple controls and surprisingly quiet. Quickly cools the room which is 12x25. Been using it for about 2 months and there have been some brutally hot and humid days that this unit worked through.

The Eco saver, remote control and timer are great features. Easy to install. Cools my home quickly. Just what I needed for the summer. Delivered a little banged up but that had nothing to do with Best Buy and thank heavens the unit did work.

Quiet, economical, low profile. Energy saver well designed and works perfectly. Hardly notice units when ac is on.

This unit handles the cooling of my house very well. It's easy to use and set up. The only thing keeping it under 5 stars is the lack of an automatic air sweep.

This AC can cold down whole 700sq feet apt. Its pretty quite and very power full. very happy with the purchase.

So far this has been cooling the room in temps up to 90 degrees. The real test comes when the temps get higher, but I feel like we will be ok. Quiet and love that it has a remote.

This is a very good air conditioner. Love the remote and not so huge for the btus.

I bought this unit with the hopes it can cool my entire house. I originally thought I would need a small unit in my bedroom. I have a small ranch house, 2 Bed room about about 850 sq feet and with 2 ceiling fans circulating the air this unit does the job. It keeps the house very cool and if you have it positioned correctly in the window it is not noisy at all. Great Buy!

Great air conditioner. Normally I freeze everyone out of a house but this one actually has frozen me a few times. It works great on those hot humid summer New England days. Easy installation. Quick cool down of a very large open floor plan. Even keeps the house cool while baking. Major plus.

Of the five window ac units I have purchased this one is my favorite. It's quiet, seems colder than the others even though they're the same btu rating, and it seems more efficient. It continues to blow cold cold air for a few minutes after you hear the compressor stop. Most others are back to blowing ambient room temperature air within a minute or less.

Nice features, Runs Quiet. I have been updating to this unit in several apartmints. The unit is compact and light weight.

Best choice out 16 window units I've purchased in the past 15 years. Does the job in sweltering South Texas heat. This is my 3rd 10 BTU unit and Id swear by it. Low Electric bill running non stop is a plus.

I tried Frigidaire brand for the very first time. Surprisingly, it comes up to my expectations fully, especially under 30 degree Celsius. I recommend 10,000 BTU at least for upto 400sq feet area.
