I shopped for quite a while before selecting this freezer. I am using it in the garage so the alarm feature was very important. Pros: competitive price, size, frost free, digital temp setting on the exterior of the door. Alarm when the temp drops. multiple shelves, basket in the bottom, door storage Con: It is very loud when it is running. The freezer is in our garage yet I can hear it when its running- through two walls and a large living room.

The freezer is the perfect size for long term food storage for two people. Turkey, hams, beef and assorted vegetables along with prepared meals fit in this unit. The frost free feature is great and the $66.00 per year energy cost is great considering this unit is not energy star rated. I would recommend this unit to others looking for a small upright freezer with temp alarm, frost free and door alarm. The only down side is the fan is slightly loud if kept in a direct living area. It is not unmanageable however. Kudos to Bob our salesman, very informative, friendly and helpful.

Fits our needs for sale items and Husband's love affair with fishing. Can locate items quick and easy. Not too big or too small. Our Goldilocks!

Had an earlier model of this freezer for more than fifteen years and it needed replaced. We were glad to see that we could replace it with a newer version of the same model. The freezer now has a light inside and a setting monitor light outside on the door, both of which are improvements. The shelves now have an edge built on to the front which makes sliding out items more difficult. I do not use the pull out drawer due to restricted access to open the door fully, so I just removed it. I also hope the frost free feature will be helpful and effective. Lots of room for a family's food storage needs and the upright design make everything accessible.

The first appliance delivered had to be returned. Best Buy Customer Service was excellent during the process. So...I am only giving this 4 stars, due to my first dlvy experience. But so far this appliance has performed as expected. It freezes items quickly. The capacity is perfect for our household. The freezer is in the basement, but we still notice the noise periodically. So, I wouldnt say its too loud in our environment. But noticing the noise makes me wonder if it runs alot. I'll know more after I can reviewmy electric bill. I love the basket in the bottom and the shelves in the door. There is a lot of space between the shelves. There could have been1 more shelf at the top for small items. Even with all these comments, I would definitely recommend this freezer.

When my 30+ yr old freezer died, I had to find a replacement that would fit in the same space. My choices were VERY limited. I really wanted to get one that was more energy efficient, but none of the upright freezers that fit my size requirements were Energy Star. I read in quite a few reviews that this one was very noisy and they were correct. Fortunately, it is not in a location that that makes this a problem for me. You might want to consider a different model if it is going to be in the kitchen or another living area of the house. I felt like a got it for a pretty reasonable price since I did get Best Buy to price match another store's sale, got extra Rewards points (it was my birthday month), free delivery and removal. The other store did not offer the free delivery/removal. I just hope that it lasts as long as my previous freezer did. I have only had it for a month so I can't really say to much about the function, other that it has maintained a consistent temp so far.

Looked for a freezer for two people who needed more space than the freezer in a refrigerator. This one is just right. Why it would be better if it was more efficient, the energy usage is the same as the next size model, but the larger model was too big. It is quiet with a lock on the door and an alarm which could be a little louder but you do hear it in the room. Adjustable temperature allows you to save money. Runs quietly.

This is a great freezer for apartment dwellers as well. It fits perfectly into the storage closet outside my apartment and is perfect for all my extra needs. I especially like the bottom basket for small loose items.

Bought this freezer for the main purpose of freezing/storing breastmilk and loved it so much I've ended up using it for much more! It seals beautifully--we actually stored frozen items in it for a 10 hour trip (with dry ice) and everything stayed frozen for the duration of the trip and overnight until around noon the next day. There's so much room and I'm really glad we went with the stand up style rather than a chest freezer--so much easier to organize and keep it that way. I prepare meals in advance and freeze them and the shelves are designed perfectly for stacking things and lining them up which makes it easy to glance through and find exactly what I need. I also like the locking feature (we have two small children) and the digital temperature control. I would definitely recommend this freezer. It costs a bit more than a chest freezer but if, like me, you're not the best at keeping things organized, it's worth the investment.

Great size for a stand-up freezer! With small kids around, we really appreciate the lock - the beeper letting us know that the freezer is open is nice, but if we're not there to hear it... We just keep it locked in between. :) I like being able to see pretty much everything right away, rather than a chest freezer where I had to dig for what I wanted. Great price! The motor is a little loud - sometimes we wonder if it's about to take off, but it could just be that it is kept in the garage vs the house, so it is a little hotter in the room, thus needing to run more often. Great product, great value!

Replaced our old chest freezer with this. Love it no more lost in the bottom mystery frozen food. That will mean less wasted food. Bought some baskets to help organize the food on the shelves, which would be a nice addition to include. Great for the price and in stock when we went.

This is a good size freezer for a small family. Being upright makes it very convenient to locate the food. It is large enough to store a good amount of food. It does seem a bit noisy.

Lots of space, no frost, very bright inside and easy to find things. It's not super quiet, we find that it turns on more than we expected, but it's in the basement so doesn't really bother us. Great option for an upright deep freeze.

Good unit! Very compact - was easy to move into basement through narrow hallway. Works well when combined with the convertible Fridgidaire upright Freezer/Fridge. Easy digital controls and optional lock. Wish it has some flat shelves for freezing liquids in bags (wire shelves cause thawed items to sag and get stuck when frozen).

This freezer is great for my kitchen. It takes up little space and holds a lot of food. It is quite. The temperature control is on the front of the door for easy viewing. I am very happy with my purchase.

It is noisy, we have ours in garage and you can hear it in house. Looking for some kind of sound damping product that we can put behind it. Price it was worth it. Looked at several others in this size and they where pricey.

I am very happy with this purchase. My decision came down to this upright freezer and a smaller chest freezer. I am glad I went with the more spacious upright. It cost a little more, but well worth it. Being about to organize on shelves instead of having to dig thru everything to get to what you need is a huge plus. The freezer itself is extremely cold and freezes things very quickly. Great product
