Purchased at the end of September 2015: The original fridge delivered was returned b/c the freezer was developing frost and water started dripping into the fridge shelf. After having to call multiple times, I finally got it replaced with the same fridge. The replacement fridge is having the same issues. The delivery guys tried said I should set the temp. at "normal." This is some times sufficient but other times its not to keep things cold. The temp. is set at the manufacturer's recommended settings for both the fridge and freezer and I'm still experiencing the same issues (a lot of frost in the freezer and on the everything in the freezer). My previous fridge was an entry level model and never noticed whether it was loud or not but you can't but notice how loud this Fridgedaire is which can become annoying b/c of the layout of my condo. I plan on calling to get another replacement or may need to upgrade at this point.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FRIGIDAIRE

I bought this fridge in September 2014. Not too long after, we noticed our ice cream was not freezing (it was like soft serve ice cream in a box). After several weeks of temperature adjusting we started researching what temperature ice cream should be at. Ice cream needs a temperature of 0 degrees fahrenheit to freeze properly. This also happens to be the temperature that the FDA recommends for food storage safety in a freezer (anyone can google this). Starting in February 2015 (it is now June), I began the warranty process with Frigidaire. Since then they have sent 3 different repair companies, with multiple visits by countless technicians. I have been monitoring the temperatures in the freezer with a thermometer. The temperature consistently stays between 10-15 degrees at all times (far greater than 0). I as well as the repairmen have documented and have taken pictures of temperatures. The repair technicians have replaced every part (some more than once) because that is what Frigidaire tells them to do. All of the technicians tell me that where the thermistor is placed near the evaporator coils is a bad design and causes the compressor to turn off before the freezer area reaches 0. They have determined that the fridge is non reparable because of a bad design (the frige is doing what it is designed to do). The problem is that the engineers and techs at Frigidaire say that nothing more can be done to the fridge. It is working like it was designed. But they will not admit that the design is bad (why would they admit a failure in their own design and engineering department). They will not admit this even though every customer service agent and supervisor (as well as a corporate supervisor) says that a freezer should be maintained between -1 to 4 degrees fahrenheit. Frigidaire refuses to do anything for me (like issue a credit for a different model or appliance) unless their techs deem it non reparable (which they refuse to do) even though the very repair companies (3 now) that they send to me say that the fridge cannot be fixed because it was designed poorly by the placement of this thermistor. Now they want to send a fourth repair company to my home (I predict they will find the same results). This has been a horrible process (countless hours of waiting for repair men to come to my home, countless hours on the phone, etc...). It is just baffling to me why they want to keep paying for service calls, parts, and labor when it never solves the problem. I wold give this a zero star rating, but had to select one to submit rating. The sad thing is that I own nine Frigidaire products. I will never give them another penny as long as I live because of this nightmare they have put me through over a cheap $500 fridge. Those who are giving good reviews I can only imagine are not storing ice cream or monitoring temperatures. BUYER BEWARE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FRIGIDAIRE!

I was disappointed that it wasn't made more clear that the sides are black and not stainless. Best Buy does not carry the optional icemaker, which is a problem. Also, small pools of water do collect on the top shelf, and the fridge was only delivered a couple of weeks ago. But it is a roomy fridge and aesthetically nice.

I'm on my 2nd unit, writing this review 9 months after the initial purchase.First one went back within the first week. Now 8-9 months later, the same problem is happening to my 2nd Frigidaire unit. The freezer leaks water into the fridge. We'll have to see how this is handled. I'm not happy!!

It suits our needs. Nice stainless steel front. Plenty of room for it's size. It is however, a little louder than I expected.

I bought this for a garage fridge because of its "garage ready" rating so we will see about that. So far I have had difficulty adjusting the fridge side temp to not be too cold, but cold enough. I have had no problems with the freezer getting below 0 degrees. When I plugged it in, I literally thought an airplane was going to take off out of my freezer it was that loud. Even though I knew other customers had stated this problem, I figured I was using it in the garage so the noise wouldn't be an issue. Even though I am not an engineer, I found out that there was an engineering defect with the design of the freezer compartment. The evaporator fan that blows the cold air into the freezer was rubbing up against the plastic piece in the middle of the back wall. When I pressed on the plastic piece, it apparently made the speed of the fan change. This is when I knew that the fan was mounted to the back aluminum wall. So all I did was simply press on the back wall (towards the rear of the freezer) on each side of the plastic piece. This pushed the back wall further away from the plastic housing which prevented the fan from rubbing up against it. Magic!! It no longer sounds like a jet engine! Let me know if you need further instruction on how to fix this (anybody can do it, no skills needed), and I will post pictures on where to press. Other than that, I only gave it 3 stars for right now because the verdict is still out on how it will hold up in a garage during an Oklahoma summer.

I bought this several months ago.
I REALLY like it, but I finally discovered that the freezer is just a little to small 4 my liking.
I liver a lone, but the freezer ISN"T 4 long time storage.
Don't misunderstand me, it works fine, but I only buy groceries once a month, so the freezer just isn't big enough 4 me.

We've had this fridge for 5 months and we really don't have too many complaints. The only thing is, there is VERY limited space that fits tall bottles like 2 liters, carafes, etc. We usually end up laying the 2 liters down, which is fine, but it sets my OCD off a bit. It has just enough storage for my family of 3 without taking up too much of my kitchen. My other qualm is that the seams in the metal on the corners of the bottom door has a weird gap that doesn't look good. I don't remember noticing it on the one that we looked at in the store. You can like, see the epoxy that's holding the stainless onto the door frame and it just doesn't look good. You can't really notice it when the door is shut thankfully. I didn't notice it until we already had it hooked up with all our sh** in it, so we didn't bother taking it back.

This fridge is pretty spacious inside and has a nice all stainless steel look. There is no light in the freezer and it is a bit noisy, but not so much that it bothers.

Definately NOT Garage Ready! Don't buy for garage

Prior to buying this refrigerator, I called Frigidaire to verify that this product is "garage ready". They said yes and pointed me to the Frigidaire website which prominently states the refrigerator is GARAGE READY. Purchased in July and it worked OK in summer, but now that its colder in the garage the freezer is between 10-24 degrees and the refrigerator compartment is as high as 48 degrees. After 4 service calls, and replacing temp controls Frigidaire is saying that it is within their specs. They lie and this is a piece of junk Don't buy!

Do not buy this refrigerator unless you like the sound of a loud compressor running constantly & inconsistent refrigerator/freezer temperatures. My husband is a contractor & we both agree the freezer compressor on this refrigerator sounds similar to a nail gun compressor...yes, that loud. Now I understand why this particular model was not plugged in & running at store...live and learn!

Terrible quality refridgerator

This refrigerator looks great, but looks only get you so far, hence the 1-star. The customer service reps were really friendly, but unfortunately getting a live person on the phone is extremely difficult, so I can't give a star there. I purchased this model March 2015 and at the time of this posting (April 2016), I had to call Frigidaire customer service twice to make warranty repairs. Both the repairs are because of a frozen motor, which oddly enough keeps the freezer ice cold but will eventually warm up the main refrigerator compartment. I have lost $$$ of produce because of this issue. The quality is absolutely terrible. The freezer is claimed to be frost free, but in reality it isn't. I have had to chip away frost multiple times from my freezer panels and door. In fact, the freezer temperature control is a plastic slider switch located in the back of the freezer, which has constantly been frozen stuck, even on the "normal" level. I have adjusted the freezer to be slightly above warmer to compensate for this inaccurate temperature control with little success. My refrigerator is now out of warranty and have been quoted on repairs by various service companies equivalent to more than half the amount of the retail listed price. My frustration with this product is enough to warrant me to replace my refrigerator AFTER 1 YEAR FROM THE PURCHASE DATE with a refrigerator from a new manufacturer. Do not buy.

I bought this refrigerator to keep in my garage, mainly for beverages and to keep extra items in. I have to say it has worked perfectly and I haven't had a problem with it at all. I'm glad I bought this model as it has the glass shelves.
