Q: Can the refrigerator garage kit be pre installed?
A: Hello Jimmy! We are unable to pre install a garage kit inside of the refrigerator FFTR1821QS. However, the refrigerator has already been designed as a garage ready refrigerator and would not need the kit. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-
Q: Is this refrigerator frost free or auto defrost ?
A: Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your submission. In researching the model FFTR1814QW and FFTR1821QW, we were able to identify that they both are automatic defrost top mount refrigerators. Thank you for allowing us to assist you with your inquiry. Respectfully
Q: Did anyone opt to purchase the protection plan?
A: I didn't. I usually never do as the products usually have issues fairly early on in my experience (which would then be cover by the original warranty) and therefore many products will simply outlast the extended warranty period. However, another way to look at it is that you are simply buying piece of mind and for some folks it's well worth it.
A: Hello Libby! The refrigerator FFTR1821QS is 30 inches wide, 30-1/8 inches deep, and 66-1/8 inches tall. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. Please, do not hesitate to contact us directly or via the Q&A forum on this website for any additional assistance. –Thanks!-
Q: Is this unit suitable for use in a garage at high tempuratures?
A: Hello Frigidaire Shopper! The refrigerator FFTR1821QW does have the feature of being garage ready. This means that temperatures under 32°F will not affect the operation of the freezer. However, temperatures above 110°F will affect the operation. We hope that this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-
A: Yes-the installers did have to remove the door on mine to get it through a tight doorway. No problem.
Q: Why does this fridge LEAK all the time?
A: I do not have a problem with leaking; however like all refrigerators check the tray at the back of the refrigerator near the bottom; since they are frost resistant, the condensation goes here, you can just pull out the tray and empty any water that might have collected there. With my old refrigerator I cleaned it out every 6 to 8 months, the water usually dries up due to condensation, but I kept it clean.
