Customers have good things to say about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, ease of use, and capacity. Many appreciate its size and the filter's maintenance alerts. However, some find the water tank's size inconvenient and the unit's weight challenging to manage. The price point also receives positive feedback.

This has been great so far. It is quiet....like running a fan, so does not disturb. We were surprised at how much moisture it removed from the house in the initial break-in stage. I recommend you get a separate humidity measure (cheap) to keep track of the overall humidity all over your house. Right now our gauge and the Frigidaire both read close to each other. We are pleased with this purchase.

This model had great reviews on many sites. It is doing a great job since I have owned it. I have seen recommendation to use a surge protector on dehumidifiers. I contacted Electrolux asking them if one is required. The instruction book didn't mention anything about one. I did not hear back for quite a few days so I went back to BestBuy and asked them. They told me not to use a surge protector and talked to me at great length about appliance questions. Electrolux emailed me a few days later with the same answer.

Ordered online. Came with no visible damage on box or contents, however, humidifier was very noisy with a fan that seemed to be wobbly and blowing air erratically. I returned to my local Best Buy Store and they exchanged for a unit in stock with a new warranty date starting with date of return. Unit was the last one in store and cardboard box had some slight damage but unit works fine with strong air mivement and quieter operation. I also got a 4 year service plan because some reviews said unit failed in two years or less.

Nice preety unit with wheels and the usual buttons. It was amazing how this unit is able to extract tons of water every day. The auto drain pipe is also very convenient outside the unit. However it seems that it seems to be slow in draining out the humidity when I attach with the auto drain pipe.

THis is a good dehumidifier. I have a 600sf basement/garage in an old home and this dehumidifier keeps the humidity low enough to avoid mildew and other issues. This is true even in the hot and humid spring in the south.

Replacing a Whynter unit which lasted a little over a year, which replace a Frigidaire which lasted 2 years. . This frigidaire has less features but is a quieter unit than the Whynter. It got the humidity in my basement down to 40% fairly quickly. Only complaint so far is it did not come with a drain hose which should be standard on a dehumidifier. Luckily I saved the one that came with the Whynter unit.
From my experience with 5 units over 10 years, buy the insurance. None of these are built to last much more than 2 years.

It's amazing how much moisture this is taking out of the air. Still working pretty hard to get the area to a comfortable zone but it is doing it very quickly.

I had a newer version of this model but it died after 14 months just our of warranty. This model is not quite as good (a bit noisier and heavier) but works well. I actually prefer the hose drain attachment on this one. I got the extended warranty for the dollars I saved getting this "older" model. Dehumidifiers are in general known for short life spans. I recommend the Frigidaire brand and with the extended warranty I have confidence this will be a long term solution for my big basement.

This dehumidifier works great. It pull 15 gallon of water out of my basement in two days after my kids flooded a large part of it. After using a carpet machine to remove 15 gallon of water the dehumidifier got the rest, no smells or mold. The unit is fairly quiet though I usually set the timer and let it run at night so that it is not a distraction from other activities.
