Our first stainless steel stove purchase. After looking at much others, we ended up going with this one. Main reason was because it is the only brand currently on the market that states "smudge-proof" although this is not the case after having it already for a couple of months. My wife is constantly having to wipe off fingerprints. With 4 little ones in the house we were hoping these were the ones for us. My wife wishes the stove top was also stainless steel because the black is super hard to keep clean. We have the 4 piece Frigidaire Gallery Collection. Other then that the stove works and looks great. Would recommend if you overlook the smudge-proof part of it.

We are very happy with our new Frigidaire - Gallery 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Convection Range. We have done a lot of Christmas baking and general cooking and are very pleased. I especially enjoy the griddle and griddle burner. Very happy with this purchase and so far have no complaints or issues with it. It works great.

The look and feel for this stove appears more expensive than many others for more money. Not sure if the convection oven works like it supposed to because everything seems to take just as long to cook.

I replaced a 1950 Frigidaire electric stove with this gas stove so I may be over-awed by it, but after 4 months I still think it's wonderful. I was looking for one that was not as expensive, but I happened to be in the store when this baby was returned by a couple who realized they didn't have gas at their house so I got it for only $629! After using it I would have gladly paid the regular $999 price. The controls are very easy to program, the count- down timer is great along with being able to set a bake time and have it turn off. I never knew how much I would enjoy a light inside the oven until I had one. Haven't tried the broiler yet. The burners are very sensitive and you can tweak your heat to exactly what you need, The big center burner is great. I wish it had come with a griddle, but I'll buy one somewhere. I like that the grates are heavy and I love being able to move the pots around. One good feature is that the back wall is indented so you can make your gas connections and have the stove fit back tight against the wall. Believe it or not, I looked at some stoves without this and people complained that the stoves stuck out a few inches from the wall. The top seems to clean very easily with a sponge and window cleaner. If I have a burned clump I just put a damp paper towel on it and let it soften so I don't have to scrub hard on the finish. If you're looking for an appliance I'd suggest you pop into the store regularly, our Best Buy is great about having a lot of in-store specials like this.

    Nice Range and Convection Oven

I decided to write a review--since your reviews helped me make a decision on this purchase. Pros: Stove top: Multiple power on the burners, griddle and easy to slide pans around on the grate surface. Boils a big pot of water for pasta in about 6 minutes. Oven: Convection decreases baking time and cooks everything evenly. I have not used the regular bake function but once--I prefer the convection setting for everything. I made chocolate chip cookies and they were PERFECT soft in the middle but crisp on the edge. There is a display to help you figure out the settings that converts regular bake setting to convection. I like that the light comes on when you open the oven and the rack pulls out. I have not used the cleaning function or probe but I am sure they work great. Also, love that no finger prints on the stainless. I've had the oven about 3 months and I love it! Cons: None

Best Buy delivered and installed quickly. This is really nice looking stove, with good features such as; 5 burners, a griddle, heavy cast iron grates on stovetop, convection oven, smudge proof stainless steel, but the shiny black stovetop is extremely difficult to keep clean. I wipe it down every single time I use it but it shows even the smallest drop of grease spit/spatter and smudges too easily. The stainless steel is great at being smudge proof /the black top is a completely different story. I'm still really happy with this stove though.

    Excellent product, functional...and looks great!

After about a week of comparing ranges that met the following requirements: price is good, has convection function (which I learned about while doing my research before buying), it's gas, stainless steel, 5 burners, looks great, and overall positive customer reviews. This one has all of these features. Let me clear something up that I wasn't aware of and put a smile on my face when we used it the first time: based on previous reviews, I was under the impression that the "simmer" burner (top right) put out enough fire for simmering only. No, all burners output range as follows: low, 2,3,4,5,6,high. The difference between them is the burner size (see photos). I was happy to find out that the simmer burner is perfect for the small pans that come in cookware sets and are great for reheating canned beans, and yes it will boil if you set it on high. Fyi there are 2 quick boil burners. The top left burner is a standard size, same as the burners in my old stove. The bottom right is the big boy and it puts out about twice as much fire as a standard burner (see photos). It also comes with a cast iron griddle (great for pancakes) or if you prefer to keep the regular grill (see photos). The oven lights up automatically when you open the door (same as refrigerators works) and you do get 3 racks, which are sturdy and stay in place, as opposed to wiggling around and falling off, per reviews on another range I considered. The stainless steel panel is easy to keep clean; a quick wipe with a dry paper towel and stainless steel cleaner spray and you're done. One thing to point out: the oven door window has an outer glass and inside glass, but for reasons unknown there are these "vents" or "openings" toward the top on the door (see photo) behind the handle that if you were to throw a coin (or worse, leak liquids into it) it would fall right in between the 2 glass panels; not sure how that can be cleaned out. But so far no debris has fallen in it. Overall I'm very happy with this stove and feel that it's definitely a good purchase. Do keep an eye out for any damages from shipping/packaging. We were disappointed to find a few nicks and dents on the side and back panels as we were unpackaging it. The box had no damage at all, so it must have been when it was being packaged.

I am young, but I do a lot of cooking, and have been for many years. For me this was a huge upgrade from my old stove, which would take 3 hours to bake a cake or burn one in 20 minutes. It had simple upgrades, like a light in the oven, to prevent those anxious constant openings. I loved the self cleaning option, but also that there is not anything under the range top to clean. I actually like that the stove does not have separate grooves around the burners and I can clean it all in one good swipe. I've used the quick bake twice, and I was pleased with the results, but I must remind everyone to keep that door closed! I've learned already that the moment you open the door it prolongs the cook time, no matter how great the convection fan is or how much the stove is burning. Just from preheat in the regular bake setting, and preheat in the quick bake setting, you can gauge time differences. The cast iron grates really do the job right, and the griddle is so much fun to use. I used to have to buy replacement knobs for my oven, now that I have a digital control, it's not necessary. It also has 3 racks as you can see, I used to have to work with two. My old stove could never really bring water to a rapid boil either, but with the two high powered burners, I'm making my pasta perfect in minutes. It's already saving me time, energy, and money in the long run. I can see this stove giving me continued happiness for many years, and anyone else that buys one. But I'm sure I'll fall in love with another stove in maybe 10 years.

I had been wanting to upgrade my range and found this model to be a great value. I got it on sale and it has all the features that much more expensive models do. Convection, broil and quick bake! The slide across grate is great when you have lots of pots going. The large middle burner is great for quickly boiling water. It also has a griddle! I would certainly recommend this to anybody wanting the best features at an affordable price.

This gas convection range looks very nice and works great, I like that the top is black and easy to clean. I converted it to a LP gas range and works perfectly. It has five burners and comes with a griddle, great for the tortillas. The convection oven works great, too.

It was everything in a gas range that we were looking for: great price, removable griddle, and sliding rack in oven. Amazing style, amazing performance. A little upset that the range was not installed. We were forced into buying an over-priced gas hookup line because we were told it would be installed. Never was. It also came with a dent at the bottom on the side. We decided to accept it (received a 10% discount) because it would be hidden. But had to travel back to the location we bought it (30 mins away) in order to get the discount. Plus complained about the hook up not being included and returned the hose. We left completely happy - customer service was amazing and even gave us more back than we thought because they wanted to make up the difference on not installing. :)

Purchased this Frigidaire Gas/Convection Range to replace a GE gas range that was 21 years old. So far my wife and I really are satisfied with this range. The 5 burners on top are a nice feature. We like that the grates are inlaid and not raised above the surface. We've used both convection and gas to cook in oven and are very satisfied. Would recommend this range. Great price for the features included.

What's not to love about this stove

I love, love , love my new stove. I searched for a stove for over a year and a half. I wanted a convection oven, that had 5 burners, (the center one had to be the long one, not the tiny round one that are on some models), had to include the griddle, had to have three oven racks, (one that slides out automatically when you open the door, a well built, solid body stove with a modern design, one that had no porcelain finish on the grates, and a price I could afford, ($648.99). Yep it has everything I was looking for. The only weird thing is when I would preheat my oven, there was condensation inside the oven on the door and the heating vent located behind the grates against the stove. I simply opened the door and dried it off and the heating process continued on perfectly. If you are looking for a stove with all these features and price, then you found it. Oh yea, the only other thing that I did want but didn't include in this model, was that the burners do not come apart completely so you can clean the,. The cap is the only part that comes off. The units are sealed to the stove top. No biggie since I clean my stove pretty much after every use. I don't let spillage accumulate anywhere on my stove or over.

Bought this, and the fridge, as an upgrade for my rental condo. Self clean, convection, 5 burner continuous grates. Now I want to live there! It is BEYOND beautiful. Oh, and one of the oven racks, comes partly out when you open the oven. Better than having a butler.

This is a great range. We dumped electricity and went to gas (cheaper to operate) to avoid the upcoming added costs being incurred by electrical generation plants because of US government regulations (ergo the consumers make those payments). Besides that, gas cooking on this range is very even. The oven is good and makes for good food. The stove also levels out very well. When the top is level so are the racks in the oven. I also like the electric start on the stove top. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving with that large oven. However, I didn't realize that the electric ignitor is always on when the oven is calling for heat. It does turn off when the burner stops and reaches temperature. It comes on again when there is a call for more heat. Also, the stove top comes with a grill for the center burner, however it does not come with a broiling pan. That was disappointing. I am also concerned about the rubber bumpers on the stove top grill grates. It is great when they are new, but what happens when in a few years those bumpers come off or deteriorate? Will Frigidaire make them available? I need to look into that.

Everything about this oven has exceeded our expectations, the convection works incredibly to cook everything evenly and quickly, the oven is even heated, it heats up quickly, the burners are powerful and controllable to small changes and the racks are sturdy. The cleansteel is clean and doesn't show smudges and the top is easy to clean under the burner racks. A+ oven!
