Good set, but it should be sold as a full shade TV

We purchased this set to hang against a stone wall under a full covering. The build quality feels solid, and the picture is great as long as there is no sun or glare on the screen.
Unfortunately, the glare from the sun against our back windows reflects back to the screen and almost completely washes out the picture during afternoon viewing.
I added the matching Furrion sound bar at the time of installation, so I can't speak in depth about the built-in speakers, but the sound seems adequate.
While making sure the auto-brightness adjustment is turned ON in the Settings menu helps, be aware that any sunlight or glare will wash out the screen. I can't imagine trying to watch it under "real" partial sun scenarios such as under a pergola.

It's a good outdoor TV but partial Sun is a bit misleading. The TV is in the shade but the brightest is not enough until 5:00pm in the summer. The darker outside the better the quality. It's surdy and seems very similar to Sunbrite's build quality but about $300 less expensive.
When I first got the TV the remote was bad. I had to get a replacement from Furrion which they were responsive but took 10 days to get it because they're on the east coast. Best Buy was great but you have 15 days to send it back.
I would have scored higher but partial sun is misleading. I think this goes with all the Outdoor TV. You have to get full sun but the price jumps quite a bit.

I was looking for an outdoor TV for entertainment purposes and came across the Furrion brand. I was quite pleased with the picture and quality of this product. I used the Furrion soundbar with this TV and its perfect for the application. The cost comparison is by far better than other brands. My only complaint is the lack of digit inputs or bluetooth instead of using RCA cables to connect to the TV. Overall, great product.

Good product and it was easy to use a Bluetooth transmitter and link additional speakers to it. That way I didn't have to buy the soundbar. When our hot tub is delivered with bluetooth, I'm also going to pair the TV to it. That way we can have surround sound through the hot tub speakers and watch TV while we are using it. It will also keep us from having to take speakers outside that aren't waterproof when it is raining.

Solid tv for the price, good value. TV is well built and bright enough for my semi shaded patio. Overall a good buy.

TV is not compatible with my cable TV provider. My Sony and Sharp TVs work fine.
OK - Socket tech support just left after being here for three hours trying to get this to work.
They changed out the HDMI cable, the remote and the set top box. Also tried all 3 of the HDMI inputs of the TV. Symptoms still the same. Here is the only way this Furrion TV works.
1. TV off
2. Unplug the set top box.
3. Turn on TV and wait till it shows HDMI on the screen.
4. Apply power to set top box and wait minutes while it initializes.
Result = audio and picture. Channel can be changed with the Socket Entone remote. Volume can only be changed with the TV remote.
BUT----
Turn the TV off and back on and it comes up in a DVI mode and with a blue screen (no picture) mode with just audio. Only way to get it to work again is to repeat steps 1 through 4 above. Unacceptable. I do not want to initialize a set top box every time I want to turn on this TV. Bottom line - while the TV can be made to work by using the steps above, it has a compatibility problem. Buy a name brand TV - not a Furrion.
