Posted .This is our entry level gps unit and should you find the display not to your liking I would recommend the higher resolution unit such as the Drivesmart line.

This takes 40-60 mins. After that you discover this GPS is very basic and only displays major road & gets. My wife used it to visit friends on a military installation and it didn't have maps and had to Resort to Google Maps. As for the map display it's self, it looks very amateurish something you would put in your child's toy car...

I have a more expensive Garmin that is awesome. I couldn't get this one to connect to the satellite to even begin to reach my destination . After the second time of wanting to use it & it still unable to connect, I decided to return the product.

GPS without Direction

Even after trying to update it the GPS doesnt know where it is or where it's going. It was $90 and is outdated. We do better without it. Skip this purchase and use your sense of direction. Trust me it couldnt be worse.

I have an out dated TomTom that is still better

Try to make changes to a route that it has planned because you maybe want to go a slightly different way. Forget it. Not worth the trouble. I returned it. And what’s with the huge amount of models from both TomTom and Garmin. Ridiculous.

Posted .If you are driving with an active route (you have entered a destination and touched Go!) and decide to take a shortcut, the device will recognize the new path and recalculate the route using that change. It may try to take you back on the original path at first but typically will adjust to your new route as you progress.
