Only comparable option is to have something like apple car play in car screen, and an iphone with good signal.

During the less than 10 mile drive, it gave me three wrong directions. It went back and I bought this Garmin. It has performed flawlessly.

Posted .This device is primarily designed to be powered with the included vehicle power cable however it does have an internal Lithium battery with a life of up to 1 hour on a full charge.

It would only give directions from Florida, I’m in Ohio so it was no help to me. I updated the system on garmin express like the insert suggested upon purchase and that still didn’t fix the issue so I ended up returning the unit.

Posted .While the GPS is ready to use out of the box, we would suggest using the Garmin Express program to check for any map and software updates that may have been made available while the device was in transit and on the retailer’s shelf. It had a larger display gave more information and was clearer to read. Wish I could return it. I finally figured out how to reinstall maps on my old one and am using it.

Sad treatment of loyal customer over Garmin lemon

Could not get Owners or maps to upload, or get it to work. Tried over 3 hours. Garmin cust. service instructions didn't work. Gave up & evacuated & garmin never fixed. Bought BB 2 yr. warranty, too. On return home, car, local mail & phone gone for 2 weeks. And local BB store. When I went to another city to get repaired car, went to another, open BB. Would only issue store credit, and nothing for the 2 year warranty. Garmin may have just been a lemon, but I have been a BB customer for DECADES. Sorry treatment of a formerly loyal customer.

My screen on occasion will scramble and glitch and sometimes it will freeze up on the GPS screen not allowing me to the maps screen. It is still functioning for the most part.

Posted .The Drive 52 is our smallest screen. Depending on how long you've owned you may look at the larger device options should visibility be a concern. Otherwise, when it comes to searching we have plenty of helpful information at out Garmin Support Center page.
