I initially began searching for a dashcam that was both portable and inconspicuous, with an LCD screen. Unfortunately, nothing with a screen was inconspicuous, until I found the Nuvicam. I use a GPS in my work van daily, and this was a no-brainer. Good quality video, and unless you look close, you don't realize the GPS is also a dashcam. Since purchase I also purchased the WiFi backup cam. I can't say enough about the feature set of this GPS, and the price is lower than buying a top-end GPS and dashcam individually.

I purchased this item because of the great 6in screen and the dash cam which is flawless front letting you see your true speed by gps or recording your travels.. Over all I'd rate it a 9 out of 10 only because of the price... It seems steep but well worth it for all the apps and features.. I do love the clean design and it smooth finish with large screen.. I also plan to purchase the back up camera kit soon just to update my truck..

The nuvicam is a joy to use with an intuitive interface and a large bright display. The features are plentiful and I especially love the use of the camera to augment directions as you approach your destination. The built in camera will also record events, provide lane departure warnings and frontal collision warnings. Voice prompts use landmarks and natural directions to get you to your destination. This is the pinnacle of GPS units.

I have owned and used virtually every brand GPS available, and none is better than Garmin. I currently have four active Garmin GPS devices. This model adds a traffic camera to record everything that happens in front of you. Pros are the magnetic attachment feature that doesn't require a separate connection each time you use the device, the large size of the screen, and natural voice routing directions. Cons are the higher price and the large size of the screen. Yes, the large screen can be a Pro or a Con. Be prepared to lose a sizable part of your forward view, especially shorter drivers.

I initially was going to buy a Garmin GPS and a seperate camera for the dash but the sales associate pointed this out to me. I bought this GPS because it was the only GPS that had a camera also. I used this GPS to drive across the country and it worked decent. The only bad thing about it is that it doesn't take the fastest route even though you select "fastest route" in the settings. I know this because I pulled up the same address I put in the GPS into my phone and it took me an even faster route and when I take a turn that my phone tells me to take but not the GPS it recalculates then gives me a much less expected arrival time. Other than that, I like everything else. Even when you don't have a destination you can have it on and still be recording with the dash cam, still telling you your speed and the speed limit, and also what street you are coming up on.

It is a very large unit. Bugger then I thought. If you need something bigger to see this unit is it! It works very well in true Garmin fashion. What I don't like about it is since it is so big it takes up space on your window. Also with the camera is has other features. When someone cuts you off it dings and flashes and says you are following to close and in danger of a front end collision. Also where I live the towns by the beach are older with narrower roads and the camera is constantly beeping telling me I am to close to the other lane and in danger of a side collision. I really have to see if I can turn these warnings off. My old GPS was the five inch model 2597. I like it better. But, with the dash camera and today's drivers if I can turn the warnings off I think it would be a really GPS.

I love this Dash Cam / GPS. It records while I'm driving, alerts when I'm approaching school zones. It has several alert features. GPS is right on point with directions. It attaches to the windshield with the suction cup mount; I like this feature because I can detach the dash cam only and put it out of sight and snap it back on to the mount when I return. This dash cam is easy to use.

I am a Garmin fan since 2008 and I thought it was time to upgrade. I enjoy the larger screen and it seems Mrs. Garmin has mellowed out a little bit. I put a 64 Gig chip in for the video recorder and like the idea of the driving being recorded. So far it works great and no problem figuring things out.

Screen is a good size. Not too big, Not too small. May be a little too big for some people, especially with smaller cars. I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The cam sensor that detects accidents may be sensitive to cars with loud audio systems. I just turned mine off, if something ever happens, you can hit the button on top to save the footage. The only negative comment I have is that it does not show actual live images on the map like Google Maps. I was use to using my phone as my GPS unit and enjoyed that Google maps had a feature where you can see live images.

It works fine and only problem is it take too long to update. It very easy to mount and use right out the box, the forward collision is too sensitive but camera is great!

First impression after unboxing was this is far too large to use. After using the included window mount and placing the device as far forward as possible in center of dash size is less of an issue. Screen is large enough to easily read from the distance. Contrary to some reviews, the included suction mount does not obstruct or enter the camera view when properly oriented. This is not the case if you want to use a dash friction mount. Lane drift warnings work well. Forward collision warning is effective to only let you know you're creeping up too close to another vehicle at highway or local road driving speeds. If the collision were imminent the warning would be too late. Still photos and recorded video quality are as advertised. Overlay of longitude, latitude, speed, date and time can easily be turned on or off. For the price...would like to have seen safety camera (red light cameras) subscription included.

Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates... Built In Dash Cam is VERY clear when recording and also takes pictures... Four Square is available with this GPS... Forward Collision works perfectly.... Swerve left or right ... You will receive a warning signal on your GPS... Voice Command available with this GPS... BlueTooth... Speaker phone available on GPS to speak with cell phone callers... Trip Planning available ... This GPS also stores your movement for the last few days .... EVERY STOP... HOW LONG YOU WERE AT EACH LOCATION ... This GPS does so much more... These are the features I have had a chance to check out since I purchased it. I would most definitely recommend this to a friend. It's well worth the price.

I had a 5-inch TomTom GPS for several years. It died one day. So, I went to BestBuy to replace it. Then, the sales person suggested the Garmin Nuvi (6 inch with camera, warnings, and traffic updates). This is a much better system for my Subaru Outback 2014 (that I bought without the Eyesight system, which would have cost an extra $2000. The $400 Garmin was therefore a fantastic deal ... and works perfectly.

I was looking for a DashCam after I got into an accident. Then I came across Garmin LMTHD GPS with DashCam for sale at BestBuy. I thought that I might as well get the GPS along with DashCam. So far I had a good experience with the product with some room for improvement. Here are the list of my experiences... 1) Dashcam: The builtin DashCam is the best feature of this product. However, it is kind of tricky to move the DashCam camera around so that it will point to the road properly. 2) The GPS: The GPS functionality works most of the time. But it froze on me few times, takes almost a minute or two to acquire the GPS lock, and if you miss the route, it will take its own time to calculate the reroute... 3) Bluetooth speakerphone: The bluetooth speakerphone can be paired to your cellphone so that the calls can be taken as a speakerphone. I had used this functionality initially but then people on the otherside of my phone coversation complained that they can heardly hear me and calls are getting muted etc., So I turned off this feature... 4) The suction cap: The provide suction cup to mount to the windshield is useless pretty much. The GPS dropped on the floor many times as the suction cup came off the windshild.. 5) The size of the device: The device is so big that it actually blocks the view on sides though the windshield at times... 6) The builtin battery capacity is very low and might be useful for about 20min before needing a recharge. Overall, the device does the job of being a GPS and DashCam...
