Posted .We are so pleased to hear you are loving your new microwave. This model gives many different options and does get hot quickly. It is so nice to hear this met your price point and was good for your budget. The door on this model will automatically lock every time a cooking cycle starts as a safety precaution. If you'd like to disable this feature the instructions are on page 10 in your manual. The manual can be found under the features on Best Buys site or on our GE Appliances site under the product page.

It is a lower wattage than our old one, so we need to microwave for a bit longer, but once we realized that, it was fine. Wish we didn't have to hit a button to put in a specific time - if you hit 1, it immediately goes for 1 minute - but if you want 30 secs, you need to hit "Cook time" then 30. Old version was easier - lasted over 20 years too. Hope this lives up to its ancestor's legacy.

Nice lightweight mcrowave

The microwave is light so opening its door, you have to hold the oven with one hand and push the door lever forward.
