    I bought this to replace an older model that had run its course. I was hoping the installation was easy since I was just swapping out models, however, GE updated the configuration of the screw placement on the back of the unit and I had to go and reaffix the new backplate to my kitchen wall. Totally installation time is under 3 hours and directions could be somewhat better. I am happy with the product overall and hope it lasts another 5 years like my last one.

    Overall nice unit. Be careful of upper flange when installing filter because if it is not inserted correctly, door will not close properly. I did not notice tab was not correct until after install. Yes I had to remove unit to access top screws. Just a hassle. But works great and good deal. I like dual lights and dual exhaust fan intakes under unit for stove top.

    I love my microwave I bought at Bestbuy because it has a light and exhaust. It’s stainless steel and it matches my new stove. Bestbuy price was lower than Lowe’s plus the installation was free because i bought their warranty which I love.

    I’m still waiting on Best But to credit my account for the white microwave that was exchanged and returned on June 1st. The installation was credited then recharged by “Christo” on 5/29 ( $146) but the microwave has not. If you could check on this as I can’t get through in the phone. On-line it says was credited but my bank First Hawaiian Bank says no. Was purchased with a debit card.

    Installed myself. Works great. It did have a different mount and drill pattern than the previous GE, but the provided templates made it easy to mount the new bracket and drill the cabinet with one new hole left top to hang. The family loves the new microwave, and the Potato and Beverage settings are quite useful.
