    The microwave went out within the first year, warranty repair performed. A little over a year the digital portion began to flash randomly, then the buttons stopped working.

    Good microwave. Touch pad is a little stiff. Read out does not have the best font for readability but overall a good product.

  • A great replacement for our former G.E. Microwave

    Our old G.E microwave lasted 21 years. Still works, but occasional power interruptions and repaired handle made it unreliable for us. This new G.E. has the newer technologies, was easy to install myself, and looks great in our kitchen. We also bought a new dishwasher from Best Buy a few days later.

    This GE is quieter than my previous Maytag. Install instructions were better than average. The template to use for drilling holes proved useful. Would have liked it to have matched the hole layout from previous but all makes seem to be different More expensive ones have more features but I can't think of a one I'd actually use.

    Sadly, this microwaved last only one year and one day to the date of purchase for us and then completely stopped heating. The microwave turned on, but it did not heat. It would have been $114 for the GE appliance repairman to come out for an estimate (and appt times were over a week out) and then plus the added cost of the parts and labor to fix it. It wasn't worth it. We took a total LOSS purchasing this microwave. We ended up buying a brand new one (not GE) because it would have been cheaper and faster.
