Only lasted a year and a half before the LCD broke and repairs are as costly as a new microwave.

Purchased to replace 6 year old original that came with our house, but failed. Just over 2 years later, this one sparked and quit. I really hate my GE appliances.

Awful!! Service in the appliance section was very good. However the microwave must have been in some kind of flood, and sold anyway. The box itself was dry, but inside the plastic wrapping was soaking wet ,and the bottom of the microwave was completely corroded. When we returned it, the person sitting minding the front door laughed, and I was not amused!!!!!
I returned the microwave and promptly went to Lowes!
This is the 2nd time I have had trouble with an appliance I purchased from you, and I will never do so again.

Not recommended. Purchased this based on the model in the store, and had it installed. Does not look the same, GE changed the model but use the same sku number. So beware of a purchase based on demo's in the store. The one that came, is cheaper looking and sound like a tin can. I cant give it more than two stars, since I was duped. Do better GE.

Will do the job if you do just the basic microwave !!!!!
Hello funluvncrmnl - this is Nancy at GE. We are sorry to hear that your microwave is louder and harder to clean than your previous microwave. Normally, just wiping the microwave with a soapy wash cloth, and then rinsing and drying well is all that is necessary. The microwave may have a difference in the door noise due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. Very solid microwave. Only minor complaint is the location of the surface light button is less intuitive than I’d like. Harder to find in the dark than it could be.

Only 3 months of use and it breaks down, didn't get extended warranty from best buy so i will have to try GE limited warranty, if you buy this get the extended warranty

Microwave straight up died after 1 month of light to moderate use. It didn’t trip the breaker or anything. The plug it was plugged into still works just fine. We are on the phone with GE now, but I don’t know how helpful they will be. I don’t think I’ve ever bought an appliance and gotten 1 month out of it. Makes me nervous about the oven we bought with it!

The microwave isn't working promptly, and needs to be replaced very disappointed that now I need to have someone come back, and replace this one with another I've always good luck with GE but thinking about changing in the future.

Broke after a few weeks. Warranty repair sucks

It started to spark a few weeks after it was installed. GE sent a repair person out, made an appointment to come back in 2 months was necessary parts would be in for the repair. TWO MONTHS!
