Great installers and great microwave .. so glad I purchased it

We had a GE microwave when we moved into the house that lasted us 14 years. Then I jumped on the LG bandwagon and got a high-end over the range microwave that lasted only 4 years. Now I'm back to this GE which is an excellent deal. The microwave is relatively light and install instructions are clear and can be easily installed by two adults. I didn't need any bells & whistles that my previous LG had so this perfectly serves all the features that I have been using. The bright lights from this microwave illuminate the range top very well. The exhaust fan is also effective. The sound level is relatively low compared to the LG. I just installed this microwave yesterday and I'm very happy with it. Let's see how long it lasts. I'm hopeful :-) I would strongly recommend this microwave to anyone looking for basic features and good looks.

The microwave Avon is roomy inside and easy to use for fast cooking activities. It has very limited options for automatic defrosting with no item description to choose from. Guesswork and manual adjustments are required most of the time. Door closing is quite noisy. This product was the best option for me for an unanticipated replacement situation.

Broke in two years. From one day the next started making loud noise and stopped heating. First time I’ve ever had a microwave go in leads than 5 years

Good microwave! Installation was straightforward and the guide it comes with is good. Has one central Surface light for lighting up below it which gives a great amount of light. Interior looks great and also has a bright light. Cooks well and the controls were pretty easy to figure out.

Good value for performance, appearance and ease of use.

We purchased this model a number of years ago (2017) and it went through a lot of usage. When that one failed, the same model was available so we purchased it as we thought the install would be easy. Unfortunately, that was not to be the case. The model had changes made to the blueprint, but the model number remained the same. Some of the changes were better, like being able to change the filter without removing the oven from its mounting, which was such a pain. Some of the changes...the rear bracket was simplified but different. The original one had 4 tabs and the new one had 2 tabs in the rear to lock in. We determined if we bent the middle 2 tabs down, we could make the original one work. The other major change is we had to drill new holes on the cabinet due to the changes in location of the top holes in the microwave. So even though the install was a bit more work than we anticipated, the oven is installed and works very well. Anyone installing this for the first time will really like this microwave as it works very well.

My fingers are crossed. My husband installed it this weekend. We replaced a LG microwave that didn't even last 4 years. We have had 2 LG microwaves since Feb 2007 and both went out at about the 3 1/2 year mark. Will never buy LG appliances again. I like everything about this GE microwave thus far except the green display. Our stove and dishwasher has blue lights and I wished the microwave did too. We just won't use the clock. How many clocks do you need in a kitchen anyway. This microwave is very quiet. I love the express feature. The two-stage light is nice. Now I need to see if we get past the 3 1/2 year mark with this one.

I hope I purchased a lemon for the sake of GE employees. Lasted less than a year. GE repair it on 3 occasions. Then decided I needed to pay labor costs on the next repair.

It works just like microwave should. It isn’t too loud. It has all the extras we need. The only thing I would like is if I could change the timer alarm to be quieter or to another sound.

The microwave was delivered right on time and we installed it without any problem. So far it has been excellent and works better than I expected.

This was a good purchase, replacing a 15 year old version of the same product. There were a few changes in the microwave, but it still worked in the space, just about an inch deeper, so it juts out from the cabinet a little. Easy installation. Best Buy service was awesome! Ordered online, drove to pick them t up, popped the hatch and they loaded it up! Easy peasy!

Does what it’s supposed to do. 4 stars only because they should start putting LEDs in these. The lights get really hot.

Bought February 2021 and no longer works as of today December 2022. Junk!

The buttons are not as responsive as my old oven. Have to press harder than expected. Other wise, its working well.

Love this microwave. Looks beautiful and installed easily. We have been using it for months now and no complaints.

Stopped heating after 3 months. Vent fan turns on when not in use.

This is a great everyday microwave. The price can't be beat, super user friendly, powerful, and looks nice. Great value.
