Great price, good unit, would buy again. This unit replaced a similar unit that lasted about 5 years. We didn't need a load of features, simple and long lasting was our goal. The long lasting is yet to be proven.

So far, so good. Seems very sturdy, easy to use and easy to mount. It only had two holes at the top, though. Our previous one (same but older version) had 3

(CAUTION CAPACITOR STORES CLOSE TO 5000V DO NOT MESS WITH THE CAPACITOR OR POWER SUPPLY UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING THIS COULD KILL YOU!!) I got this in June 2017 stopped heating this Easter 2019 and tripped the breaker. Reset breaker microwave would still come on and everything else would work but magnatron would not come on(no humming sound) and therefore not heat anything. So instead of dropping 200 more $$ i disassembled the entire thing and tested the magnatron fuse, thermostat fuse, diode on capacitor, magnatron and capacitor.. all checked out GOOD. Would come on but magnatron would NOT activate. Disconnected one of the lower door switches, the one in the middle of the 3 (There are 3 door switches 1 upper and 2 lower) applied power, opened and closed door and hit start. Magnatron started working. Replaced middle door switch with one from and old microwave i had in garage and works like NEW again!! You can access the door switches easily there is one screw above the control panel. Once removed slightly lift control panel up and tilt the top forward. The whole control panel will come off and you can access the 3 door switch bracket held on by 2 screws, remove 2 screws carefully lift up plastic bracket and push it through the slots.
The plastic bracket holding the 3 door switches can be carefully maneuvered through the wires and it will come out enough for you to replace. The door switches are held in place in the bracket on each side by plastic tabs that insert into the holes on the switch. The plastic tabs can be carefully pried away from the switch to remove it. (Tabs broke on mine but the new one still stayed in place) If you don't want to buy a new 200+ unit please try replacing door switches first! Also if you close door and internal fan and or light comes on your door latch is NOT engaging the bottom door switch or its also bad!! Hope my review helps any other DIY repair guys!!

I love this microwave. It's large capacity & quiet for how big it is. The installation was rather easy as well so thats a plus. Very happy with this purchase!!

I purchased a GE 1.6 microwave to replace the GE 1.6 microwave that was in my home when I bought it. It looked to be a 2016 model. I like it and I wanted to get the same kind to replace it. The buttons are all in the same place which makes it easy for my parents who live with me to reheat things if they need to. So far I have not had any problems with it. I can say if you are looking for a nice microwave this is a good one.

This microwave replaced our original 25 year old with the newest GE that appears as a direct replacement. Using the unit is almost identical to the old one as far as front panel controls. The cooking power of the new unit was much improved over the original. The mounting bracket is completely different and was somewhat difficult to install. The thru the roof external vent was in a different position and had to be revamped to mate with the existing ductwork. Overall, very pleased with the unit.
