Bought to replace our 11 yr. old Sears microwave. This one was the only white otr in the city. It is ok, but not as well made as the one it replaced.

Turntable stopped working the second day (and yes we tried the "turntable" button numerous times to no avail). Microwave would stay on after pushing the "off/cancel" button. Door feels clunky to open and close (loud). To get it fixed we either have to uninstall the entire thing and take it to a GE Service center or pay for a tech to come out. We have owned it for two weeks and are very regretful!

Functionally I find this to be a very good product. However, the unit's design does not match the advertising or owner's manual: 1) The display is NOT green as depicted but rather a very bright white. 2) it does not have TWO stovetop lights, just ONE. 3) Stove top light is NOT INCANDESCENT, but rather a blade-base lamp. 4) It has TWO stove top vents rather than one. I find the fan to be fairly quiet and the heating times are shorter than my old unit.....containers also get hotter. Popcorn button pops nearly all kernels without burning. Buttons could be differentiated better like my old unit was. I was able to better match the unit's display color to my range by inserting a piece of transparent green plastic between the control panel and the numeric display on the main circuit board. Used a piece of food storage container lid cut to fit the recess on inside of control panel.

Ours died in less than 3 years. It was such a pain in the butt to install that I think I'm just going brand new one of the same model just to ease installation. I wouldn't recommend buying a new one, but reading the reviews of other brands, it seems that pretty much they all seem to be about the same: they don't last like the microwaves we had growing up.

Purchased this microwave and a dishwasher. Since I am still a Total Tech member, the installation was included at no extra cost. I assumed someone from the Geek Squad would do the installation of both appliances. Instead a third party installer did the work. I was not impressed. They were in a hurry to get job completed and made some mistakes. Also, the old dishwasher was hardwired (no electrical plug). I asked him to hardwire the new one and he said that was "not allowed". So he charged me $150 (cash) to install a plug. I later read the GE installation instructions and it describes how to hardwire the dishwasher. So I feel I got fleeced by this guy. I expected more from Best Buy.

I needed to replace a more sophisticated GE Profile microwave, but knew that I only really use the basics. Has more than enough functions and looks great. Was also very pleased with the Best Buy online shopping experience, delivery and installation.

Purchased this microwave at BestBuy approximately 14 months ago. My first impression after removing it from the box was that is was very flimsy construction and remarked to my wife that I expected the door would break off its hinges in 2 years. I will never find out if I am right because after 14 months the unit is tripping the circuit breaker every time we try to use it. And for the GE apologists who may be reading this:
1. Yes it is on its own circuit
2. Yes it the circuit is the appropriate amperage
