Replace my Whirlpool microwave which died after 3 years, it was acting up 1 year into it and then the door sensor stop working, then sparks were flying outside the microwave. Never get whirlpool! So I went with the trusted brand GE. I mean I can’t complain for the price, it’s not bad. Only thing I think can be better is the panel. The entire thing is a soft plastic that I feel if I press hard it will rip. Even the clock area is soft. I hope this one last over 3 years.

It’s compact and looks great. It is extremely easy to use. Love making popcorn in it because it always comes out great.

We picked up this unit when our old Maytag decided it'd be fun to throw a short and almost set our kitchen on fire. After installation the first thing I noticed was just how quiet the unit is. It's almost silent. If the beep from it finishing cooking didn't go off you'd have a hard time realizing it was even on. The wattage to size ratio seems true to form, might even run a little higher, The carousel is large and very well balanced. On a side note our Best Buy installer had this guy up and running in under 30 minutes including removal of the old unit.

They no longer make the Maytag microwave so we went with the GE. The size is about the same and we needed that biscuit color. So far, no more tripping breaker and is defrosting as it should.

This is the 3rd GE microwave I have purchased for over-the-stove in about the last 20 years. The last one was purchased in 2005. I think that is more than enough time (since we use it a lot) that it last. Based on that, I purchased this one and so far it is working well. The features are about the same so learning how to use it was easy. It does not have the auto sensor like my last one and I wish I had bought the next model up because it is a little more complicated to reheat food without it. It is a nice looking unit. So, sofar, so good!

I previously owned a GE microwave and wanted to stay with them. I have had this microwave for a month now and it works perfectly. I like that it is quieter than my previous model.
Pretty basic model that does what it’s supposed to

This replaces a 15 year old model that died. Looks the same and has all the same functions, which is to say, everything we need it to do. Didn’t go for any of the new fancier options (different ways of cooking, etc). This has very quiet operation compared to last one, a white clock light, and was easy enough to install. Only issue was after removing grill at top for the install, upon replacement, the door always clicks loudly upon opening. Haven’t been able to figure a way to fix that after multiple attempts.

Installed about a week ago. Incredibly quiet compared to the old one, although less powerful than our previous (1000w - 900w) it seems to make no difference in cooking time. We were not looking for top of the line or bells & whistles. This was a kitchen spruce up in preparing for an eventual move. Looks great and does what we need it to do. We haven't noticed any shortcomings or features we wished to have gotten.

After 15 years my microwave blew. I forgot how quickly microwaves heat...when they work properly. Excellent value for the price and was easy to install.
