My wife and purchased this unit along side the GE Profile - 27.7 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator with Hands-Free AutoFill. This additional ice maker is what sold us on our decision to get that model. We love having plenty of ice and having this 2nd ice maker is amazing!

Was very excited to have an additional ice maker. However this product was challenging to install. When we finally got it to work, it made one batch of ice. That was it though, just one batch. Trying to troubleshoot the issue, but still no luck.

Icemaker easy to install, although instructions could be better. Works great, like it was done in the factory. Hoses are pre-cut, connectors are impossible to confuse. Can make a lot of ice, does not take up much room in bottom freezer and easy to access ice that is made. Can be turned off easily if you do not need the extra ice all of the time

I purchased this ice maker as an additional one to the ice thru the door. Installation was just as outlined in the pamphlet and my husband was able to install in less than an hour. The ice maker is fast and quiet!

Got this to go along with a new GE French Door refrigerator. Really glad we did as it produces plenty of ice for our family of 6 (and the in-door icemaker does not). This was really easy to install and works well.

We’ve had it for two weeks - plentiful ice so far. The cubes are a good size and doesn’t take up too much of the freezer space

The installer picked up at store and wanted to come at 10 pm to install! I had taken off work early to make original appt. which installer did not make or call either. I had to call store at 8:30 pm to find out what was happening. Installer called at 9 pm and I told him to reschedule for next day. Then once he installed, it was incomplete and made a frozen mess in freezer! Thanks to geek squad (Tony) he saw the problem and got the missing part within a week. Your Saav installer was a complete idiot in my eyes. Obviously didn't know what he was doing. Now the ice maker is working awesome!!

Easy to get install. Save your money, as you don't need a professional to install. To date no problems. This was a supplement to in door ice maker. This is for bottom drawer. Makes tons of ice!

This is optional icemaker for my bottom freezer french door GE fridge that came with upper through the door ice maker. Installation went smooth but took about 2 hours. I found a good youtube video from GE with instructions for installation that was easier to understand than the paper instructions in the box. Once installed it is a great ice maker. And now when the upper maker runs out we have more in the bottom freezer.

We added this icemaker to our already great refrigerator to boost our icemaking ability because we have a very large family that our poor little icemaker in the fridge just couldn't keep up with. Not knocking the fridge, our family is just that large. But this little baby really bangs out the ice. And the excellent Geek Squad tech who installed it (Thanks Thomas!) put it right in with no problem. If you're looking for extra ice output this device will help you out! I highly recommend it!

The ice maker that comes with the French door fridge is low capacity, so if you use much ice, this is a must have. It makes the standard ice in the standard amount. Installation was no problem- just follow the online video. Also, buy from Best Buy. I made the mistake of ordering first from Home D. They screwed up the order so bad that I had to spend 2 hours on the phone just trying to cancel the order, which they unfortunately sent anyway weeks later, requiring an extended return process at my local store. Plus, Best Buy was $10 cheaper.

The in-door icemaker is nice, but we need ice for a cooler on the weekends, which the in-door unit won't produce. This icemaker is our "bulk" ice maker, and for this purpose it is an excellent addition to the fridge. It takes up the left half of the pull-out internal freezer drawer. That's not a lot of space. It makes sufficient ice, and we are well pleased with the performance.

Having an extra ice maker is great ! Never run out of ice! Easy installation, too!

We bought a second ice maker (actually in the top drawer of the freezer) to be installed in our new GE refrigerator/freezer. It’s now almost 7 weeks later! They’ve tried to install the ice maker 2 times and it still doesn’t work. We expect another crew tomorrow. This is the worst service from anywhere we’ve ever had! Still no working freezer ice maker!! This is ridiculous. No more household appliances from Best Buy.

Having a 2nd ice-maker is wonderful though it took 3 visits to get it installed and working properly. The small amount of inconvenience was outweighed by the convenience of having a 2nd ice-maker.

This is going to come in really handy in the summer! the ice maker in the door of the fridge holds a limited amount of ice and runs out. takes quite awhile for it to build back up. adding this additional ice maker will make sure i never run out of ice!

Works OK. Seems to produce ice fairly fast. Nice to have extra ice.
