Customers often highlight the ease of use and intuitive displays of both the microwave and oven. Many appreciate the convection bake option and the quiet operation of the unit. The microwave's downward-opening door, however, is a common point of mention.

The controls are not as user friendly as most, but I truly enjoyed using this oven, especially the probe cooking. Again, I loved using this oven and then 13 months after purchase the microwave magnetron was broken just before the holidays. Two months later, the controls went out completely, while the oven was still on. I had to cut the power with the breaker. Got a new mother board/ control panel. Next day, same thing. Its been a nightmare, days of missed work, constant cancellations because parts didn't arrive and now, even with Geek Squad protection plan, Best Buy tells me they don't have any 27" microwave oven combo wall units to replace it with. This is all that fits in my kitchen. There has been no help, I can only get credit returned to my Best Buy account. Now I have a ton of credit at Best Buy and no manager is willing to find a real solution for me. Maybe you will have better luck if a 30" wall unit fits in your kitchen.
Oh no! We're awfully sorry to hear that your parts are still missing and you can't use your oven. If you ordered your parts from Best Buy, please continue to work with them to obtain your missing parts. If you ordered directly from us, you can reach out to us on social media and we'll be happy to look into this for you. Best. Mike@GEA

Beautiful oven. i have only used the non-convection features so far, but everything works well and is a significant upgrade to my 44 year old GE oven/ microwave combo unit. i didn't even have to use the manual to figure it out. it was very intuitive. Be prepared to hear the cool down cycle after you turn the unit off or take your food out. my old one did not do that.
We appreciate your loyalty to our brand, and we’re glad to hear you’re happy with your new oven! The fan may indeed keep running after cooking is done, to help the internal components of the unit cool down. We’re confident the wall oven will serve your needs well for many years to come, just as your old unit did.

The 27" GE Profile is a nice and modern looking unit with curved handles. The microwave is a bit shorter in height than I'm used to, but everything fits in there so far. I've only used the basic oven features and so far so good. I wish the controls at the top had a number pad to put in the exact minutes to cook instead of going several levels down to select the appropriate cooking time by item (like potato or eggs); however, I just use the '30 second' button to approximate my cooking time and it seems to work. The one drawback I had is that because the microwave door comes down (like ovens do), it dented my refrigerator door because it hit the microwave door once when opened. The solve this, I just added a rubber bumper to the edge of the microwave door.

The oven works great with a ton fo cool features. The smaller oven is really nice as well prefct for heating smaller meals that done need a full size oven.

We've only had the wall oven/microwave unit for about 3 weeks. It works great and I love the look! Wish we had gotten it sooner.
The reason I didn't get it sooner is that I was trying to figure out if I wanted to do 2 separate units instead of a combo unit. From what I've read, Microwaves seem to have a lifespan of 10 years and ovens about 20 years. Doing 2 separate units would mean getting an electrician to separate the power, and have a carpenter do some adjustments to the cabinets and build a shelf for the microwave to sit on. I just didn't want to do all that work when I will most likely not be in the same house for 10 years.

Microwave is easy to use and cooks evenly. However, don’t know why the cooling fan stays on after cooking. Haven’t used the convection feature on oven yet but regular oven takes a long time to pre-heat. Also, for a $3K wall oven, mine was missing a bolt for one of the oven racks which was disappointing on a new appliance.

I am truly enjoying my new oven. I especially like the supported pull out rack. It has allowed me to lift heavy items and food that can easily spill with much less difficulty. My only problem ,which is still acceptable, is that I am short and it is sometimes difficult to remove items from the microwave.

Replaced an older oven microwave combo. The upper microwave is great however, the front lifts down like a normal oven (necessary design for cooking) but is a bit awkward for the simple function of reheating coffee which I do often. Minor inconvenience for the added function this oven combo provides. It is great having the convection bake option and allows making bake goods while using the lower oven for preparing the rest of the meal.
There is only one exposed element in the oven and that is for broiling. The upper rack used for broiling isn’t adjustable up and down but there is a low high temp setting that compensates. In addition, The rack is on rollers and is easy to access food after it has finished cooking.
Without a bottom element to deal with it is easy to wipe up any potential spills. I am not accustomed to using the convection setting for all cooking but can say it is great for baking pastry. All in all it has been fun to have a new gadget to learn to use. The dials are easy to read . the minute minder buzzer is not loud which is nice in some ways but it is necessary to pay attention to timing when cooking as the buzzer is easy to ignore and unable to here from another room.
Both the microwave and oven heat evenly. The microwave door is noisy when it closes as it is not as heavy as the lower oven door. The and oven may take a bit longer to preheat than the oven it replaced but not a huge difference or inconvenience.
Any flaws I have noted are minor and do not influence my overall rating.
In closing, I must add that Best Buy was the only store to offer free installation and the installers did a great job!

Love our new combo unit. Looks better than I imagined and has features I didn’t expect. Getting it from Best Buy was the only way to go. They walk you through the process. Check that you have what you need, which is especially needed when you need to do a retro fit!

So far, so good - but we haven't tried all of the features yet. Looks good, and clearly an improvement over our previous GE microwave-oven combo. However, a couple of minor complaints - the pull-down microwave door (as opposed to the side opening door of our previous oven) makes it difficult for my wife to reach the interior. Has to stand on a stool. Also, the notification sounds are too soft for me to hear.

I always wanted double ovens. With this unit I have the best of both worlds. I have my microwave, that I usually reheat food in but can use it as an oven when I need an extra one during the holidays. So glad I purchased it. It has a roll out oven rack that I wish I had years ago. Makes it easy to take pans out with ease.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We appreciate you choosing us for your purchase and are happy to hear that your unit is working great for you!

Both upper and lower ovens work great. But I had to deduct 1 point because of the following:
1) I was expecting that it will be an easy installation because this is a replacement for an old 27 inch GE unit. The wall opening (width and height) had to be enlarged a little bit (about quarter inch) for this new unit to fit.
2) Wife said that using it is not as straight forward as the old unit it replaced. Not that it's complicated but she has to rotate or push knob too many times.

Basically sound oven but not having a loud enough buzzer to let you know your food is ready is a huge miss especially for such a low cost and long time item. Overall the oven controls are the weakest item.
While we’re glad you’re happy with your oven overall, we regret that you’re not satisfied with the audible signal and oven controls. We always want to provide a quality product and great experience, and your feedback will be shared with our team for future consideration. If more information about the oven controls may be helpful, those are discussed in the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.

My original Micro Wave burnt out after 22 years and when I tried to replace it I found out that I had to replaced both units: MW and Oven. 22 years is plenty life on a kitchen equipment so decided to replaced it with the same brand that was so great! My new unit is sleek, modern and also work very well.
