Learning to use it was very easy. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars for one reason: the burners take a loooooong time cool down. The "hot" indicator shuts off too early. 15 minutes after the indicator turned off I put my hand above the burners we used--they were still hot. Had I set down something plastic it would have melted. Other than that--I already love this appliance!!!

Only downfall was the fact that this was the only 30” cooktop that fit our existing cutout. Would have liked to have able picked a different unit on sale. Overall installation was done very professionally.

I am sorry that it is not tempered glass because you must be very careful not to scratch the top if you drag a hot pot off the burners.

We previously had a similar GE Monogram cooktop that worked well for 15 or so years. This new Profile cooktop is well laid out and has features the Monogram did not have. It worked well after installation. However, at the 2 week mark, the largest burner in the middle stopped working. It would not heat even on high and the 'hot' light that indicates that the burner is still hot to the touch after use stays on all the time even though it is cold. No problems with the other burners. We're hoping this one is a lemon because we are getting a replacement.
