It can be awkward for just 1 person to install, we recommended that 2 people lift the unit and place into the window. It is also important to be careful not to pinch fingers at the bottom of

It lasted just over a year and quit working.

I started having issues with this just after the 1 year warranty went out. It started making a loud noise when the compressor came on, but it still cooled the room. It just recently stopped working…wouldn’t even turn on. I got almost 2 full seasons out of it before it died. I’m buying another one, but I’ll be buying the warranty with the next one.

But it definitely needs to be able to go down to 60 or 61 degrees! Because it turns off in eco mode Way too soon before the room actually gets down to the limit of 64 degrees. Texs weather doesn't play.

The only con is it sits low so the kidos push turn the wifi off all the time lmfao. The app to control ot remotly is super easy to set up and use. The extra pieces it comes with the insulate. The windows are also super clutch! Looks a lot better than the old design. And functions better keeps all the hot air out. Would 100% recommend this for a living room, dining room or bedroom!

Then we got a P1 error code that could not be cleared and would stop the unit from working. But due to Best Buys short return window of only 15 days, we weren't able to replace it. Not the best experience overall, but not necessarily means this is a bad product.

I bought it for my bedroom because I heard it was the quietest window AC unit unfortunately so far that is not the case When I turn on quiet mode, it makes a loud humming noise that does not stop for sometimes an hour on end, I have been troubleshooting to try to fix it but so far I have not been able to do so unfortunately, I cannot return this because the time ran out but The whole point of buying this air condition was because I did not like the loud noise of the old AC units. This unit unless I am able to troubleshoot is not what I was looking for. I have a highsense. That I bought for my living room that is extremely quiet and I will be buying a smaller one for my room. If I cannot fix this problem if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Posted .We're sorry to hear the air conditioner is louder than you anticipated. We provide examples of some of the normal sounds you can expect to hear on page 17 of the online Owner's Manual. If you click on the Feature tab and scroll to the bottom of the Features list, you'll find a link for the manual. Try turning the unit on High Cool and the lowest temperature setting available (64°F) for a period of time before going to bed to chill your bedroom down. Once you retire for the evening, turn the thermostat setting to a warmer setting and turn the fan to the Quiet mode selection. This may help reduce the operational sounds of the unit while you rest. -Vikki@GEAppliances

It looked nice and sleek in my window. It was easy to install. It talked to my phone. And most importantly it was easy to return (and I could use the exercise). Why you ask, about the unit that is, not the exercise. Because it did everything but make the air cold. That's not Best Buys fault. They were good to me. Unfortunately Best Buy was out of the other type of GE unit I decided to purchase, and reluctantly I had to go elsewhere. Best Buy will continue to be my first choice when shopping in the future.
