This is a ripoff, installing a console is fairly easy and if you run into a problem that you cannot figure out it is likely that you have a faulty product. You would be insane to pay this much for this service, for them to ask for that much is insulting!!!

It is easy to set up a gaming console. They are designed to be user friendly. If you are unsure about anything, the manufacturer provide nice user guides and tutorials on screen. Plugging it in is a simple as plugging the right sized plug in the right sized hole - there are no wrong places to put the wires. At over a third of the price of a Playstation 3, the cost for the set up is ridiculous. It will greatly bump up the price of your games console - a cost with which you are better off buying games to get the most fun out of your console. Save your money, do it yourself. And if you really don't want to (you can't break it from setting it up wrong), i'm sure you will know someone who is willing to do it for free or a lot cheaper.

I purchased this setup because my son and i repeatedly recieved an error code for hooking it up ourselves. So i thought, let the pros do it. I purchased it online, recieved a confirm letter 9 days later. i called to schedule an install, and was transferred 6 x and each teenager i spoke to was clueless as to my purchase, order #, why i called. And i called the # the confirmation card gave! i felt i was speeking to kids who were playing with me. i was told i was to recieve another card in the mail. i waited 8 more days....no card. i called again to refund. 1 hour, 2 dropped calls, numerous transfers and i am told the refund is in effect and will take place in 72 hours. it still hasnt happened and that was 5 days ago. the' geek squad agent' didnt even have a confirmation # of the refund. just to take her word. horrible phone service, horrible install service....it was run by teens from the sounds of the voices and it was a game to them.

Nobody showed up. I did get a confirmation call beforehand. I called to find out what happened. They were apologetic and said they would get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago. Now trying to get money back.

Living in Nome, AK can be rough for alot of people especially if you need help setting up you new Xbox 360 with your HD LCD and satellite internet. There are no geeks in the area that i live in so i began looking online for help when i found the geek squad service. It was exactly what i needed, but seemed kind of expensive, however i went and took the plunge anyway. Being 700 miles away from the nearest bestbuy I figured they would tell me service was unavailable. Boy was I wrong. When I contacted the Anchorage store they told me they would prep a dog sled team and send the out in the next 12 hours. A week later John showed up and said he was from bestbuy and was here to set up my Xbox. It took him all of 30 minutes to have it set up. I was so happy with everything that i even gave him a dollar tip for the great service. Now I can stream netflix to my tv instead of having to wait for the airmail to bring me my next dvd. Thanks Geek Squad.

Oh man was this a life saver, I'm the type of person that can't tie my own shoes, so this was just perfect for me! I had no idea how to hook up my Wii, but the Geek Squad guy had no problems and the Monster cables he used were well worth the extra charge, I may have to live off of ramen noodles for a week or two but hey at least now my Wii ready for some hardcore gaming!
