This is a good movie, in line with a classic character, made even better in 3D.

Awesome movie for Godzilla! Looks great on Blu-ray and i highly recommend it for anyone who is a Godzilla fan!

Good movie iwatched it in theater and was engaging from beginning to end

I have seen almost every Godzilla movie that Toho has ever produced and this is a top 10 film for me. For those complaining about the lackluster story or the human characters, they have likely never seen any of the original films which also had boring subplots with the exception of the 1954 version. That being said, after watching the abomination that was Zilla (1998) this is a more refreshing and faithful adaptation. It's no award winner, but it does its job like every other godzilla film: to entertain with giant monsters. My main complaints are the cutting away from fights between Godzilla and the Mutos and underutilization of Brian Cranston (which could have made the script far more powerful).

It's Godzilla. Everyone loves Godzilla. The 3D is just icing on the cake.

I thought this movie was good, not necessarily great. It had plenty of good things going for it and it was much better than that horrible 1998 Godzilla movie that butchered the franchise. This movie however, stays true to the original Godzilla movie as well as the original franchise as a whole by keeping the plot close to how Godzilla is a force of nature that reminds us that nature isn't in humanity's control. It also gives good, just short of great, action sequences of monster vs. monster action of older Godzilla movies. The acting in this movie is really well done for a small number of actor's, especially Bryan Cranston performance, while most others where a little lacking or not very convincing of their characters. Regardless, if you are a Godzilla fan, like me, and haven't seen this movie already, then you will appreciate this film greatly. The only thing I thought was terrible about it was that the "evil" monsters in the film seemed a little too generic like the Cloverfield monster. Other than that, it is a film worth watching.

Obviously... this movie is “what it is!” No reason to critique it... just a fun start, to a new franchise!

It's not perfect, but this is the closest to the spirit of what made the original films awesome. There was something more epic, cooler, and larger about the original films, even though it was all plastic model tanks being crushed by guys in big rubber suits, there's that monster X factor, if you will. That's been shoved aside in Hollywood remakes just to glimpse a bigger more detailed CGI version in a few scenes. This film brings the essence of the monsters back into monster movies. Retaining that elusive x factor, with abundant monster scenes. Don't hold back the star of the show...for the whole show! Give us the monsters. Has to be my favorite Godzilla remake/reboot to date.

There have been a ton of Godzilla movies and this one somehow manages to be memorable. A great ride!

My son enjoyed this movie and it’s blueray. Can’t beat the price. Cheaper than going to a movie.

For some reason, I missed this one at the theater. A bluray version at home is just as good.
