      We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place where you can control all your favorite Nest devices and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Battery):
      - Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup.
      - Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup.
      - One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps.
      - Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps.

    Waste of time and money, didn't work

    Powered on, but would not connect. Spent hours trying to get it to work, then an hour in the car taking it back to a store so I could buy a new one.

    The camera works exactly as we had hoped. We use it for our puppy when he is alone in his crate and it’s been perfectly reliable for us and gives us comfort knowing everything is fine.

    Bought this item. Geek Squad certificate. When I tried to add to my nest account. It says this device is already added to another account. i am not going to go through the phone support to ask previous owner to remove. BAD certifcation

    Ordered and was super excited to upgrade my outdoor camera setup but then noticed these were indoor only. Purchased the battery camera and plugged them in. Never took out of box. If you need outdoor cameras, dont get these.

    Won't make the mistake of purchasing a refurbished anything. The camera goes out and in - more out than in. Huge disappointment.

      Hi Mehrdad, thanks for letting us know about the issue. We're sorry to hear about the poor night vision you are experiencing with Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired).

      Night Vision video quality can be affected by internet speed and other issues, but most Night Vision specific issues are caused by the camera’s infrared light that reflects off a surface near the camera, like a shelf, window, window screen, or wall. Symptoms include:
      - A large light or dark ring in the video.
      - A part of the video is bright white or washed out (typically on the side of the video)

      Here are some steps you could try out. You may want to test and view the night vision of your Nest camera using the Google Home app after each step:
      - Clean the lens with a soft cloth that’s made to clean optics. Dust, thumbprints, and dirt can cause poor image quality.
      - Turn the camera so that any nearby surfaces or objects (like a wall) are out of view.
      - Use the Nest or Google Home app to Zoom and Enhance and crop out surfaces or objects that may be the cause of the glare.
      - If a bright white shape along the edge appears while everything else is too dark, there might be a surface that’s too close to the camera’s view (like a wall). Angle the camera so the surface stays out of view.
      - Move nearby objects that may reflect the infrared light.
      - Check for possible sources of congestion or interference with your network. Removing some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space. You may also want to try moving the location of your Nest camera and bring it closer to your router to get better signal reception.

    nest cams no longer use nest app only google home app and it is terrible! I am done with all google nest cams!
